Woo hoo! The Oilers-loving people here at the office got to get off a few hours early yesterday so we could all go to a local pub to watch the Oilers game. It was the Mark Messier jersey retirement night. Messier played for both the Oilers (11 years) and the New York Rangers (10 years), who we were playing last night.
The ceremony was THE longest one I have ever seen. I think the actual game may have been shorter. You can be sure when Messier comes back to Edmonton for his jersey retirement here, it will not be anywhere near as long :P So we all went to a pub that was close to all of our houses and proceeded to have a bunch of beer. Nadu was nice enough to drive me there so I didn't have the car sitting there overnight. Then my dad came over as he was in town. It was a pretty good game, even though we lost. But as I said, the best part was leaving work 3 hours early :D お気に入りの記事を「いいね!」で応援しよう
