Ah, the Winter Olympics are here...the perfect thing to get my mind off of the Oiler's horrible play of late :)
So far Canada has 2 medals - 1 gold and one bronze. That would put Canada up by 2 on Japan (as I like to remind Nadu :D ). The one bronze that was won was by Jennifer Heil in freestyle moguls. The cool thing is that she is from Spruce Grove, which is about 15 minutes outside of Edmonton :) Of course, the only thing that really matters is hockey. The Canadian women are kicking ass as usual, beating Italy 16-0 and Russia 12-0. Some woman on the US team was whining and moaning about Canada running up the score on those weak teams. But when goal differential counts later on in the tournament, you have to score when you get the chance. I suppose she was just upset that her team couldn't do the same against their opponents (5-0 and 6-0 in their games). And the men start this week. I'm a little worried about that, as Canada has some pretty big injuries, and the next best team is looking really good (Czech Republic). At the office here we brought in a tv and satellite from the VP's house, so we can watch the games here :D GO CANDADA!! お気に入りの記事を「いいね!」で応援しよう
