Wow, it's been another long while since I've said anything here. Of course, things are just getting crazier the closer to summer it is.
Nadu and I have finished almost everything for the wedding. All that is left is to pay for everything :o and some ofthe minor stuff. So the wedding stuff is not really stressing me out, I'm so very glad we took the initiative (wow, all my teachers were right!) and got everything booked a while ago. So Nadu and I are moving into our nice new duplex at the end of the month. My parents bought the place (yay!) and I will be paying them rent. The rent is going to be the same amount we were paying at the apartment, so the only increased costs are...well, everything else I guess. I just found out we can move in a week earlier than expected, which allows us to move our stuff over gradually over a week. No moving truck required! So at our apartment, we wanted to get our damage deposit back. We figured that the holes in the walls would create a problem :p So a few weeks ago we went to Home Depot, got some paint and filler stuff (you can tell I'm the home-fixer-upper type) and painted up. To my amazement, it looks great! Who know that this computer guy could paint? Another achievment to add to the list :) While Nadu was cleaning out a cabinet, she found a bunch of holes in the back. It was kind of funny, she was worried that maybe we had rats. I had to convince her that in Edmonton we don't have rats. That calmed her down, but then of course I had to throw into the conversation that we DO have mice here. Anyway, I checked it out, and no mouse could have made the holes. Their creation is a mystery to me. I told the landlord, and he didn't really seem to care, told me he'd check it out when we moved. Meh. Not my problem anymore. Now, next weekend I will be doing the 'Move out inspection' on the new duplex. There are some people living in there now, and I have to kick them out :p I just need to make sure there are no holes in the walls and that it is clean. Should be nice and easy, and we'll have our new house :D Well, that was a lot of stuff for one day. And no pictures, so not much fun to look at. Hopefully I'll have time to take a few pics of the new place, and I'll throw them up on here. お気に入りの記事を「いいね!」で応援しよう
