Here is my first post in the month of May. It's been an eventful month, to say the least.

First off, we are fully settled into our new place. It took a solid 2 weeks to unpack most of the stuff, but it's all done.
Here is a pic of the front. The left side of it is ours.




So how 'bout them Oilers, eh? Last night they won, putting them up 3-2 in their Western Conference semi-final series vs. San Jose. I do not believe I had ever seen the Oilers play this well, in the 15 or so years I've been watching them. It's been great fun :)
The story of the Oilers playoffs for me was when Ryan Smyth took a puck to the face, knocking out 3 of his teeth. He gets right up, skates to the locker room - and comes out the next period! He's got his mouth wired shut, so he's breathing through his nose. And all he does it make an amazing play to assist on the game winning goal in the 3rd overtime period.




On Saturday we finally had our house warming party. It got moved from last week as I found out my brother was coming up this week and wanted him there too.
I picked up a 59L keg of Alexander Keith's ($220, ouch!) for everyone to dig into. It was tons of fun, everyone was doing kegstand after kegstand. My brother did one for a full 24 seconds, which seemed unbeatable, until one of my friends psyched himself up for half an hour to complete a 32-second record-breaker. Suffice to say, he looked pretty ill after that :)
