Who says that Stephen King is merely a writer of HoRRor fiction.
"Different Seasons " discredits that belief with flying colors.
"Different Seasons " is a novel that incorporates all the elements of horror, suspense, and drama to make it an excellent novel...

With this novel Stephen King proves that he is not limited to the horror genre but is very versatile in his writing.
Each story is unique in it's own way.!!!!
My personal favorite is "Rita Hayworth " and "The Shawshank Redemption ".
A must read for any Stephen King fan.

If I had to choose the one book by Stephen King to read again and again, this would be it...
For one thing you get 4 stories which are each absolutely brilliant, yet totally different...
..hence "Different Seasons ", both different from each other and from any of his previous work.
Not only this, but two of these stories were made into what are probably the best films I have ever seen......
...Making them two of the few Stephen King books to translate well into film.
Another one of these stories is currently being filmed, while I suspect that the last can not be made into a movie...
...its subject matter is best kept to the imagination.
My thanks to Stephen King for his fantastic imagination.

【Stephen King】Different Seasons
All of the stories are great, Especially "The Body"..

"Apt Pupil " was a gr8 look at the disturbing dark side of human nature.
Including Dussander's role in the imprisonment of the Jewish in the Holucaust.
"The Body " was a sad story, I really don't know why...
...But just as I read it I really began to realize that these things that he is talking about are real life problems.
"The Body " is a story of lost innocence, of course, but it covers a period in every boy's life in remarkably accurate detail.
One gets the feeling that they're reading about their own life when they were twelve.
The movie based on "The Body ", intitled "Stand By Me" was good..
..but not quite as good as the book, because I believe the movie didn't have as much heart as the book did. Better than the movie.

I didn't like "The Breathing Method " as much as the other three stories, but it was quite interesting never the less.
This book is about the tenth Stephen King book I've read, and I think anyone that is interested in reading Stephen King, but doesn't like horror that much, should read this book.
It really shocks by showing how easily one can mess with someone else's mind.
