Guilty Pleasure
I admit the MOVIE does remind me a bit of "Return to Paradise"..
..But I did like it and look forward to owning it.
Claire Danes was wonderful, like always, and I thought Kate Beckinsal did a good job, too.
Claire Danes is absolutely mesmerizing from start to finish.
The quality of the dolby5.1 soundtrack　is awesome as is the 2.35:1 widescreen picture itself... Watch it with your closest friends and you will feel even closer.
If you own a DVD player , add this to your library..
Emotional,intense & simply gr8.!! Don't miss it.!!

【Claire Danes】Brokedown Palace
A Complete Nightmare...Stay in the Prison...

Two best girlfriends graduate from high school and decide that they'd like to be together one more time before they go their separate ways.
They had been together since they started crawling...
At work the next day after graduating Alice talks her best friend into going with her to Thailand. Darlene hesitates and says that she mentioned it to her dad, but he's not keen on me going.
Alice tells her that her dad doesn't have to know, just tell him that you're going with me to Hawaii... Her friend agrees to go.

They arrive in Thailand and meet this gr8 looking nice guy..
.. after they get caught for not being a guest of the motel where they snuck in to go swimming.
This guy, Nick Parks, says that their just lost when the waiter asks them where their room is. The girls are relieved...
Nick invites them to a party and befriends one of them, and while she goes to get a drink... ...he hits on the other one. He then takes her to his room...

The next day the girls are going with Nick to Hong Kong... he paid there way.
At the airport waiting to go through customs... they're bags are being searched.
All of sudden guards with guns rush towards them yelling in Thai.
The girls are confused, crying, and upset.
They get arrested for having Narcotics found in their backpack. They swear up and down that they're innocent and then.....

I brokedown.!!!!!
I especially liked the pacing and the story of friendship.
This movie really shows you how horrible it would be to have to go to prison in another country...
It also shows you how easy it can be to get set up for a crime that you didn't even commit.
I would recommend this movie to anyone.
And I hope that we will also be seeing a second part to this movie that is also true.
Overall, it was really well done, and is recommended if you want something low-key.
Not too heavy, but not feather light, either.......
