クラブ Terrific, Energetic Musical of Mel Brooks'1968 comedy

トランプ(スペード) Broadway Triumphant トランプ(スペード)
Lane, Broderick, and Ferrell. Very funny, entertaining movie. かちんこ
"The Producers " began in 1968 as a non-musical film with Mel Brooks.
It starred the incomparable Zero Mostel as producer Max Bialystock, Gene Wilder as accountant Leo Bloom, Ken Mars as playwright Franz Liebkind, Cristopher Hewett as director Roger De Bris, and Lee Meredith as Ulla..
This first version is funny & memorable & worth enjoying in its own right.グッド

"The Producers " should be a fairly well known story for any one who likes movies. かちんこ
Max Bialystock (Nathan Lane) is a producer of Broadway musicals that are so bad that they close on opening night.
Max's method of obtaining backing for his atrocities is to woo women of means and advanced age. 上矢印下矢印
A young accountant (Matthew Broderick) comes to audit his books and casually mentions an idea that it would be possible to make more money with a bad play..眠い..
After arguing back & forth about the ethics of such a proposal, the two finally strike up a deal to find the worst play, produce it and bilk the investors for two million dollars. 賞金賞金
Brooks has never been afraid to offend huge portions of the population.四つ葉
In this movie alone, he does routines which could offend gays, Broadway in general, and, of course all those who despise all that Hitler stood for.
WOOOOXXXXOOOOW:-))))

God bless Sweeden 雫雫

Long live Mel Brooks
On screen is much much cheaper than On Broadway, but the feeling of audience is missing. On Broadway..18禁
..When someone finishes a big song or musical number, everyone claps for a few seconds before the show goes on.
On screen, you miss that big ending to most of the songs because they have to somehow move on to the next scene.
Although a die-hard Broadway fan would appreciate this, someone who hasn't seen a lot of Broadway shows might not understand these little pauses and movements between scenes. 右矢印左矢印

On the other hand, a movie musical is the best way to get your spouse or significant other to watch Broadway.!!
The story seems to be about 95% the same as before , with only one song I noticed missing.ショック Never saw the original or the play, and luvd it.!!
It's gr8 on screen if you can't afford the real thing, but you can never capture "the real thing " with a movie. パンチ
If you have seen the original, and the Broadway performance, you may be a Producers snob and not care for this.
But for my 10 bucks it was well worthwhile. ハート(手書き)

One final word.
I've been to several Broadway plays but I had not seen this show on Broadway so I really can't adequately compare the screen and stage versions.
But, I felt that I was watching a Broadway play as I sat in the movie theater.
Several times, I wanted to applaud at the end of a big number. いなずまいなずま
It was simply gr8 fun to see such a show. 目
THIS IS A MUST-SEE and must be AT ONCE be regarded as a musical comedy CLASSIC:-)
FIVE BIG STARS 星星星星星
