くもり Too Bad this Gr8 Book has A Bad Rep... くもり

どくろ You Kill Me, Holden Caulfield.!!!!
"Catcher in the Rye " by J. D. Salinger was published before the assassin Mark David Chapman was born.
John Lennon was only 11 at the time.
Except for the year of its debut, none of these facts have anything to do with the book.
The book should be read for what it is.
It is a shame that a "green-eyed goddamn " (a phrase from a Lennon song) madman has wrongly tainted it.
Chapman was a selfish, destructive fool.ブーイング
グッド Salinger and Lennon were creative men.
Let us not conclude that these talented men had any real significant causal relationship with a murderer.

The book "The Catcher in the Rye " has gained noterity also by being banned, the relative recluse status of the author, being the book that Mark David Chapman pulled out of his pocket to read in the hallway after shooting John Lennon..
.. and being the book that Jerry Fletcher, the character played by Mel Gibson in the movie "Conspiracy Theory" could not resist buying whenever he passed a bookstore.ノート

【J.D. Salinger】The Catcher in the Rye
指輪 Spellbinding...A Timeless Classic 指輪

I found the main character young Holden Caulfield real and hilarious.上矢印下矢印
Leave it to a teenager to think everyone is a phony but himself.
As I matured I realized that all humans are phoney to some degree, even myself.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, "I am always insincere, knowing that there are other moods."...
There is even one character in the book that is like my baby brother, "a secret slob ".虫眼鏡
He looks good in his clean and pressed clothes, but wait until you see his sloppy apartment.
I think that Salinger was innovative and courageous to write a book not as a mature author would, but as a teenage boy would.
Who at the time could have predicted that such a book would become a classic.
It is simple genius at its best.. 青ハート青ハート青ハート青ハート青ハート

If you really wanna know the truth , I was depressed about flunking out of school and all.学校 Big deal.!! Phoney jerks..

Pimply slobs who drop about two million nail parings on your floor. I hate that.!!
Yeah, I drifted downtown. 荒波
Eddie's bar. カクテル Even called up old Sally and took in a movie for chrissake.爆弾
Cheap hotel. ホテル Some broad and a lift attendant stung me for ten bucks.いなずまいなずま
Dumb morons. ほえー Christmas - yuk.!!
This psychoanalysis stuff bores me.
Phoebe's a sure smart kid sister but so what if DB's some Hollywood bigshot ???
Maybe Holden Caulfield'll be a sixties cult hero or something.!! お化け

It was a wonderful journey through a young troubled teens mind..失恋
.. and the kind of book that makes you say, "If Forrest Gump can have a sequel, then this should too.!! "
I highly recommend this to all non-readers and especially those who enjoy the power of the pen.!! えんぴつ

Be sure to "Catch" it... 四つ葉四つ葉四つ葉四つ葉
