When I first saw the ads for this film, I was excited to see it.
I thought that it looked somewhat interesting.!!
Wow- that was quite an interesting movie. !!
If you want to see a different, yet interesting movie, rent "Ravenous".
However, I had no idea just how compelling this movie actually was...
I heard about this movie from a sexfriend, and decided to BUY it.
This movie takes place in the olden days, at a Fort.
In the middle of a snowstorm, a mysterious soldier arrives at a fort.
What he leads them into next - well, I won't tell you all the details.
I don't want to ruin it for you.

Anyway, "Ravenous" explores the cannibal part of human behavior.
Since most of us never talk or hear much about this, that was one of the reasons I think made this movie good.
The best thing about this movie is all of the twists - trust me, you will be surprised.!!
People change, motives change, and the action changes.!!　
IMO it is quite a witty　movie.

The two main characters were ideally good against each other.
You wondered constantly what was going to happen next.
Mostly towards the end, you weren't sure.
I applauded (even though I was by myself ) at the end of this movie.
It was an ace of a job.
The clothing was authentic, the hairstyles, the figure of speech.!!
An excellent movie...recommended for those whom a good horror movie that keeps you at the edge of your seat.

Pearce & Carlyle shine in "Ravenous"...
There are a number of rather strange twists and turns in plot development.
Some you can see coming, making you feel smart , then a jarring development will leave you behind feeling very outwitted.
This isn't a straight horror movie.
It's a suspenseful spagetti vampire flick.
It isn't a film that has violence and gore just for the fun of it, like one of the many Friday the 13th sequels ; it serves a purpose.
"Ravenous " is for those viewers looking for a more intelligent horror film.
It is thought-provoking and horrifying, a truly underrated movie.

There are no a-list type actors which really helped raise the suspension of disbelief.
Tom Cruise couldn't have pulled this off.
Robert Carlyle is getting pretty well known but in 1999 this was the role for him.
I used to think of him only as Begbie in Trainspotting and the guy from the Full Monty but now this is him.
Likewise Guy Pearce hadn't been seen in Memento yet and he turns out a fabulous performance.
Jeffery Jones is a veteran of smaller roles and plays it just right.
All the actors leaked just enough of their motives to make the movie work but were subtle enough to let the twists ambush you.
There are lots of stabs at religion and addiction, power and vitality, showing how many different sicknesses the human psyche can hold...

I recommend this movie thoroughly.!! Deeeee-lish
It isn't for everyone's taste but it certainly goes beyond the flimsy entertainment of your average film.
Highly cerebral and quite witty, "Ravenous " is a film that was misplaced in a year of gr8 films.!!
All in all, RAVENOUS is an enjoyable little film.

Sure, it's not the gr8est horror film ever made, but it's far better than the vast majority of genre dreck Hollywood has foisted on us over the past decade... "Ravenous ". A gory, quick moving movie with a lot of suspense and a constantly twisting plot that keeps you guessing.. So, what's really going on??? Watch and find out......
