A Powerful & Memorable movie..
Gael Garcia Bernal in hot pants & high heels. Gael Garcia Bernal is Hot. Even disguised as a girl he's extremely sexy - which is a bit disturbing. I think he looks like Julia Roberts. Anyways, besides from being cute he's also a very good actor and gives an outstanding performance. So do the other actors in this movie.!!!! They all make the story believable. I especially liked the guy who plays Father Manolo at the end of the movie. The movie is a visual & musical treat. When the choir of children sing "Cuore Matto " or when one child is singled out to sing for a gathering of priests, the singing is done with enough musicianship and feeling to bring anyone to the verge of pure metaphysical joy. On another level the integrity of the artist, in this case the film maker, is vastly addressed in the movie. The film maker is above all an artist and his attitude about his discipline obeys only to the highest of ethics. The film maker will not become part of the circus. As an artist he will work in it, but will remain sober and not compromise his vision. What a timely & beautiful lesson for so many "artists " and audiences. Have you ever left a movie house with the feeling that you did not want it to end ? .. or that your connection with the world that you witnessed on the screen is so strong that you can't get yourself out of it ? ..... Or that a movie has gone inside you and touch you in ways you did not dare to poke yourself? ...... Then you know what "Bad Education " will make you feel like. Don't miss it, whatever you do. You owe it you yourself... 【Fele Martinez】Bad Education【Gael Garcia Bernal】 Abuse, Acting and Retribution.. "Bad Education " is easily one of the most complex, yet inventive thrillers in recent years. With its Saul Bass style opening credits, initial Bernard Herrmann styled score by Alberto Iglesias.. .. and the mysterious figure of Ignacio one easily could describe the film as a Hitchcockian thriller filled with an air of evil blended with an element of dark humour. In its stylistic and plot functions, Almodovar's film alludes to aesthetical constructs found in Hitchcock pictures such as Stage Fright and Vertigo. Yet, Almodovar adds his own unique touch to this haunting tale and adds a brutal and gloomy denouement reminiscent of film noir with its brief elements of the crimes of passion & evil in unlikely forms. "Bad Education " raises the unfortunate but all-too familiar issue of the abuse of children by members of the clergy, but the director’s approach to this scenario gives it a different slant. In real life, adults sue the Church. In the movie, the characters seek revenge in a different way. Regardless of the outcome, everyone is affected and there are few winners at the end. Don’t see this one if the theme turns you off or you feel squeamish about witnessing intimate homosexual scenes... However, while it is a sobering experience, the insight into the world of the transvestite/transsexual.. .. The movie maker and the actors is fascinating and the guys are gr8 to look at. Also, there is sufficient humour and irony to keep the story from sliding into the maudlin, and leaving you feeling depressed. There are quite a few images that will probably shock young teenagers. Had I been a couple of years younger , I don't think I would have been able to understand the meaning of this story and to enjoy it. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone under 16. お気に入りの記事を「いいね!」で応援しよう
