What Kind of Fool Emma ？

Like a bowl of Cool Whip, fun and frothy...

The genre of teen movies can offer both good and bad things.

Most teen films are ~~about sex and drugs~~ and are chock full of cliches.

But there are some teen films that manage to be original, clever and fun.

One such film is 1995's Clueless, written and directed by Amy Heckerling, the director of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, another good teen movie.

"Clueless " is the story of Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone), a rich Beverly Hills teen.
Cher lives with her lawyer father Mel (Dan Hedaya ) since her mother died "during a routine liposuction ."

She and her friend Dionne (Stacey Dash ) are the most popular girls in school.
They are also both named for "great singers of the past who now do infomercials ."

Cher decides to use her popularity for a good cause, so she and Dionne help a slightly geeky new girl named Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy) become popular.

Tai is interested in a slacker type named Travis (Breckin Meyer ), but Cher warns her that there are only a select few acceptable high school boys.

She tries to set Tai up with one of these boys, Elton (Jeremy Sisto ), but it is obvious that Elton is more interested in Cher.

Cher and Dionne also try to help two lonely teachers find romance with each other.
Cher is also looking for true

while bickering with her ex-stepbrother Josh (Paul Rudd ).

The film is based on Jane Austen's novel Emma and is a clever modern retelling of the story.
This is a teen movie that adults don't have to be ashamed of enjoying.
The script is full of fantastic, quotable lines, including my favorite, "Girlie, as far as you're concerned, I'm the messiah of the DMV ".

Don't we all Wish we were this Innocent？

This movie is for each and every student getting ready to attend high school

to get a jist of what high school is exactly not like.
The movie exaggerates high school life so much that it is unrealistic yet seemingly convincing.

The positive part of this diary is that is makes every guy and every girl envious of what each character possesses.

The lackadaiscal attitude and carefree actors surely add to the hilarity of this movie.

Several puns to society are used effectively to emphasize the standard of high school movies.

Almost every high school movie contains the same situation.
One really popular girl, one good at heart, the followers, the boys, one special boy the leader loves and the nerds.

This movie is no different.
With funny scenes, and the personalities or the lack there of of each character leaves the viewers dying of laughter.

By the end of the movie even the most conservative teens just want to let loose and yell out "DUH" !!
This is one of my favorites movies that models high school life.

Many movies have been related like this one and similar but very different plots.
I also definitely recommend "She's All That ", "Can't Hardly Wait ", "Fast Times At Rigdemont High " and any movie you see with teens on the cover.
I guarantee it will leave you almost to the "Peeing The Pants Stage "

Now her life just got more complicated: her step-brother just moved in and he's so uncool, plus she must find time in her busy life to give a new friend a fashion make-over.. Her life takes an unexpected twist when a sexy hunk comes into her life and she decides that she'll give him her virginity.. Then her new friends goes and falls for her step-brother forcing share to realize that she has feelings for the guy.....

All this is beginning to leave her rather, well, clueless.
This is a gr8 movie and good tunes that relates to the characters feelings.
This is a film that deserves to be seen, buy it today !!

The "slanguage " employed has influenced the way teens across the globe, in particular the US, speak.
Phrases such as "As if ", "spark up a doobie ", "betties and baldwins " and more have revolutionised the current mode of teenage expression.
