Crude, Rude and Outrageously Funny !!


"FRANK AND BEANS !! FRANK AND BEANS !!"
The story is about "Ted" (Ben Stiller) who fell in love with "Mary" (Cameron Diaz) in high school.
The only date they had was their senior prom, but unfortunately due to extremely painful circumstances, the date never happened.
However, it did start the movie off with the beginning of many laughs.
The movie progresses as an adult Ted decides to search for Mary.
He hires a private detective (Matt Dillon) to find her.
I'll stop here so as not to reveal too much of the movie, but this gives you an idea of what the story is about.

I cannot remember the last time I laughed this hard.
My stomach literally hurt after the movie ended.
This is the type of movie that does not require a lot of brain power to watch, but entertains from opening credits until closing credits.
In addition to just incredibly funny lines, there are a lot of slapstick moments that cracked me up.

The cast was perfect.
Ben Stiller was gr8 in this role as he stumbled and fumbled to get Mary to notice and like him.
He was also great at some incredibly painful and embarrassing moments.
Lots of physical acting talents here.
My personal favorite in the cast was Matt Dillon.
This is not his typical role so I was a bit shocked at seeing him, but he did not disappoint.
He plays this slimy character to perfection and I loved to hate him.
This movie is a laugh a minute with surprises around every corner.
It is not for young people or children.
Defenitly an adult movie.
But for the adults who appreciate a ridiculous humor it is one of the best.
I laughed so hard at one point, I fell out of my chair.
There are twists and turns that are very unexpected and the plot holds your attention.
There are some scenes in the movie that may offend animal lovers , but I felt they were hysterically funny.
Mary is very sweet & seems unaware of the affect she has on all of the men in her life, which makes it even more amusing that there are so many that want her.
This movie could be offensive to people who don't like sexual humor or adult themes. But if you are not too sensitive, it's a laugh a minute.
I have watched it several times and enjoy it more and more.

Now, If They Could Just Bottle It...
Cameron Diaz is perfect as a dingy blond and Ben Stiller plays his usual unassuming self.
There are many silly surprises and be sure to watch carefully when Ben comes to Mary's house and meets her brother.
To me that was one of the funniest parts
The background is that Ben Stiller tries to woo Mary with the help of some of his friends.
The funny parts are the ways that his friends help him and the inevitable trouble that he runs into throughout the course of the movie.. It is light and painfully funny.. I generally do not like to watch movies more than once, but this one is worth a second run through !!!!

If you take a lot of things to offense, this movie is not for you !!
But if you like comedy, funny, crazy stuff this movie is just right for you.
"There's something about Mary " puts the funny back in funny.
Parts of the story can be taken wrong , but it's just meant to be one of those dumb-funny movies. On to the story.
Cameron Diaz and Matt Dillon co-star in this film about a crazy guy (Cameron Diaz ) that is still in love with his High School flame.
He hires a private investigator (Matt Dillon ) to go to Miami and find out if Mary's gotten married, has children, gotten ugly, and so on and so on.
So Matt goes to Miami.
When he finds Mary he sees how beautiful she is and thinks about how he wants her for himself.
So when he goes back to tell Cameron about Mary, he tells him that she is married, has a lot of children, and ways about 300 pounds and is in a wheelchair.
So basically he discourages him so he can have Mary for himself.
So in the mean time Cameron is feeling sorry for himself and Matt is in Miami getting to know Mary.
So one day Cameron sees one of his friends and they start talking about seeing Mary and how good she looked.
Cameron is stunned "She's not in a wheelchair " to his astonishment Mary wasn't in a wheelchair.
She was fine, not married, no children, doing great in Miami.
So he decides to go to Miami.
You'll have to watch the rest but you can probably guess who ends up with Mary.

There are a lot of funny parts that you might miss the first time around.
I also have heard that there is a new longer version out now.
I have not seen it but would like to.
The kind of humor in this movie reminds me a little of "Happy Gilmore" (another of my favorites).
It is silly and slapstick and a little out of the ordinary.
The movie has some really hilarious parts.
Her brother is Mentally Disabled and she works with a disabled group.
There are some very funny scenes with them as long as you don't get offended.

Check it out though it's a really good movie, 1st time, 2nd time, 3rd time, and so on...
