My Lips Have Never Looked Glossier !!!!


The Perfect Lip Gloss
I decided to try out Chanel's Glossimer Lip Gloss because I read good reviews on cosmetic magazine and it was highly recommended by a friend.
I have very sensitive lips and practically every brand of lip gloss dries out my lips and makes them burn.
Up until this point, the only lip gloss I could wear comfortably was Lancome Juicy Tubes.
But their colors tend to be very sheer, and I was looking for something with a little more color.
I purchased Chanel's Glossimer Lip Gloss in tonton, which is an iridescent, natural pink with a gold sheen.
It glides on very smooth, and doesn't have the thick, goopy texture that Lancome Juicy Tubes have.
It adds some color with a very nice glossy finish.
The color lasts surprisingly long without being sticky.
I can feel it moisturizing my lips and it lasts alot longer than the average lip gloss.
I've looked at Chanel's Glossimer Lip Gloss before, and when I tested it on my hand it didn't look very sheer and seemed pretty thick so I didn't even think about buying it.
Don't let that fool you into it won't look or feel good on.

It's amazing.
It's sheer, it's sexy, and it can even be shimmery.
It's a gel-based gloss, which means that coats the skin of your lips very evenly and has gr8 shine.
The best part -- it's not sticky and gunky.
The only other gel based gloss that I have found and liked is by Mary Kay, the price for Mary Kay is considerably more reasonable, but the color choices for MK are severely limited.
Also, I found that the tube life of MK is not as long lasting as Chanel and MK may separate after a while.
That's never happened with Chanel glossimers.

Chanel Glossimers are available in more than twenty colours, and Glossimer Extreme in about a dozen.
I chose Passion because it's a deep, dramatic brownish-red that looks elegant in the evening ; Chiffon and Darling are lighter shades, for when I want glossy lips without a lot of colour.. Whatever your colouring, there's a Glossimer to complement it.. With so many red and pink glosses on the market, it's nice to see a wider selection at the Chanel counter.....

Glossimers come in a thin tube, with a soft applicator wand.
They can be used on their own for subtle colour, intense moisture, and nice shine, or over lipstick for more dramatic effects.
Glossimers have a slightly gloppy feel, which is not ideal if you have long hair (or beard, in my case ) that tends to blow toward your face in the wind.
It's also unpleasant if your lover[s] has long hair ; sometimes my lover's hair gets stuck in my gloss, and I hate the way that feels.
On the other hand, its thickness has benefits.
Most lip glosses don't last fifteen minutes on me, but Glossimers last an hour or so on my lips if I don't eat, drink, or smoke a pipe during that time.
Without too much information, let me just say that Glossimers stand up to light kissing, but the gloss needs to be reapplied if you engage in more than a friendly peck on the lips.

Im biased toward Chanel cosmetics, but not so biased that I don't balk at the price of my Glossimers.
Until I find a cheaper gloss that comes in such a variety of colours and lasts as long on my lips, I'll give Chanel Glossimer Extreme five stars.

Most lip glosses I've tried that are long-lasting are sticky and goopy.
This one wasn't sticky at all.
It felt almost like lip balm and lasted hours.
Of course, it does come off when I eat, but I have yet to find a lip gloss that doesn't do that.
What I dislike about this product is : after a while, the gloss feels somewhat...uncomfortable.
I can't explain the feeling, but it does not feel all that Gr8.
It's not a Gr8 discomfort -- I'm sure I'm one of few who can actually feel it and it can be solved by a quick touch-up.
