Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah and his co-driver Tina Thörner leave the race at the end of the sixth stage leading to Mendoza. The Qatari driver won stage 6 but lost any possibility to go on in the race as he skipped the way points at the beginning of the special stage. "We had a problem with the radiator at the end of the stage in San Rafael. In spite of all the work done by our mechanics, our engine still overheated at the beginning of the sand dunes today. Nasser could choose between crossing the sand dune and going around them. He chose the second solution, so he missed several way points and, according to the race regulations, this implies an automatic exclusion from the race" explained Sven Quandt, manager of the X-Raid Team in the end of the afternoon in Mendoza anticipating the decision of the race marshalls. Nasser Al Attiyah won the 1st and 3rd stages of the 2009 Dakar and was leading the overall standing after stage 1 and stage 5.

英語ちんぷんかんぷんなオイラでも、ラジエターに問題を抱えてたって事や、オーバーヒートってのは解ります。
他の部分を見ると、この日も途中まで総合では首位(6．2とかの区間では4位とかだけど)だったようですね。

Pending validation of results by the race stewards, Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah (BMW) looks to have won the 6th special, 5.07 in front of the Volkswagen of Giniel de Villiers. The South African came home ahead of his two VW team-mates, American Mark Miller, 3rd 5.27 behind the provisional winner, and Spaniard Carlos Sainz, 4th 8.37 behind the Qatari. In 5th, with a gap of 13.14 from Al-Attiyah, lies Frenchman Stéphane Peterhansel, the leading Mitsubishi driver. As a result, in the general standings, the Qatari leads, 7.31 ahead of South African De Villiers and 15.10 in front of “El Matador” Sainz. In the Open category, Robby Gordon (Hummer) is in the lead, whereas in the Production category, Frenchman Nicolas Gibon (Toyota) leads the category.

上位脱落によって総合順位がカナリ入れ替わりましたね。

今まで10以内に無かったゼッケン330(BMW)が10位に入ってきてます。

メーカー的には、HAMMER(309)／NISSAN(317／327)が上位進出。


あ、ISUZU D-MAXのゼッケン362が総合20位に上がってる！
ノーマルクラスのはずだよ、これ。
けっこうスゴクね？


今見る限り、まだゴールできてない車両がかなりありそう。
CARで、86台しか入ってない。
三橋さん(TOYOTA)は、6．2で区間38位と頑張ってるようだけど、まだ6日目のゴールにたどり着いてナイっぽい。

カミオン(大型トラック)もカナリ脱落してるけど、一応今のところ菅原(親子別の車)って名前はないですね。
