世阿弥の佐渡

雨乞いの面↑（2015年9月21日、佐渡島）目の前に見せられた鬼の面は、世阿弥が身に着けたと言われています。見るからに苦渋に満ちた鬼が箱の中に納められています。「鬼気迫る鬼よりも鬼の内面的な苦しみを演じるべき」と言った世阿弥の想いが感じられます。正法寺の境内には、世阿弥が腰掛けた「腰掛け石」もあり、ここ佐渡島に流された世阿弥が偲ばれます。鬼の面は「雨乞いの面」と呼ばれていて、猿楽面から能面の移行期に位置づけられる面であると住職さんに教えていただきました。佐渡は、明治時代には200以上の能舞台があり、村人たちが競って能を舞っていました。現在でも日本に有る能舞台の３分の１が佐渡にあります。【Bon appétit !】　In 1434, Zeami was exiled to Sado Island. He completed his last recorded work two years later, providing a detailed first-person account of his exile. In the account he conveys a stoic attitude toward his misfortunes. Little is known about the end of his life, but it was traditionally believed that he was pardoned and return to the mainland before his death. Zeami died in 1443 and was buried in Yamato. 野生復帰前夜の朱鷺

野生復帰間近の朱鷺↑↓（2015年9月22日、佐渡）目の前にいる朱鷺は、もう暫くすると自然界へ放鳥される予定です。朱鷺たちが生活できるように、佐渡島の森や田んぼは自然を取り戻しつつあります。自然に戻しても、怪我をしたりして再びトキ保護センターに戻ってくる朱鷺もいるようです。海を渡って本土まで飛んで行った朱鷺もいます。日本本来の朱鷺は絶滅してしまいましたが、今いる朱鷺の子孫が日本の朱鷺としてどんどん増えていって、これから何千年も日本で育っていってほしいものです。【Bon appétit !】　On September 25, 2008, the Sado Japanese Crested Ibis（朱鷺） Preservation Center released 10 of the birds as part of its crested ibis restoration program, which aims to introduce 60 ibises into the wild by 2015. 薄紅のコスモスが…

秋の日のコスモス↑（2015年10月12日、さいたま市）陽溜まりに揺れる↑（2015年10月12日、さいたま市）　コスモスが一面に咲いています。　近くの田んぼで行われている手刈りによる米の収穫を見ながら、秋の陽の中でぼんやりとコスモスを眺めています。　鎌により刈り取られた稲を、農家の方が藁紐で器用に束ねています。　時折やってくるそよ風にコスモスが揺れます。　収穫された稲がゆっくりとはざ掛けされていきます。　こんな小春日和の穏やかな日は　優しい思い出。【Bon appétit !】　Their first collaboration resulted in the single "Yokosuka Story" in 1976, written by Uzaki with lyrics by his wife, Yoko Aki. Aki was inspired to write the song because both she and Yamaguchi, whom she had never met when the song was originally ordered, had both lived in Yokosuka. "Yokosuka Story" was Yamaguchi's biggest hit, selling more than 600,000 copies, and peaked at number one on the charts. ワォー日本、富士山 with 五重塔＆山中湖

富士吉田からの富士山↑（2015年10月18日、山梨県）山中湖と富士山↑（2015年10月18日、山梨県）　山中湖近くに素晴らしい富士山が見える場所があるというので、連れて行ってもらいました。　果たして、とても素晴らしい景色でした。　山中湖を下に見下ろし、正面に富士山が見えて、同行した東ティモール人も大喜びです。　また、以前東南アジアからきた十数名の人たちと富士吉田に来た時に行こうと思って行けなかった神社へも行ってみました。　五重塔の向こうに富士山が見えて、これぞ日本という感じです。　境内には桜の木もありましたので、満開になればさらにすばらしい景色になることでしょう。【Bon appétit !】　A five storied pagoda is on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings. 　The location offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji in combination with the pagoda, especially during the cherry blossom season in mid April when there are hundreds of trees in bloom and during the autumn color season which usually takes place in the first half of November.（http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6917.html）

棚田と海 in 佐渡

棚田と海↑（2015年9月22日、佐渡島）眼下に棚田が広がります。棚田の向こうは海。海の向こうは本州の新潟県海岸から標高350mの地点まで棚田が作られています。その数460枚あるそうです。これを67戸の農家で支えています。【Bon appétit !】　The Iwakubi district has a hidden place of interest―the terraced rice fields―which cannot be seen from the Iwakubi village located on the coast. The terraced rice fields have slopes which are said to be the steepest on Sado Island. The scenery seen from the top of the fields is really superb. The place commands a complete view of the terraced rice fields, the Iwakubi village and the ocean. In addition, on a fine day you can also see Mt. Kakuda and Mt. 海は生活 in 東ティモール

定員オーバーの漁??↑（2014年3月2日、リキサ県、東ティモール）群れる黒い熱帯魚↑（2014年3月2日、ディリ、東ティモール）遠浅の海の中に漁船が停泊しています。村中の人々がその漁船に乗り込んでいます。村人総出で漁に出るようです。どう見ても定員を超えていると思うのですが、どうでしょうか？【Bon appétit !】　Fishing is done using very small boats, along the coast. per capita fish consumption is very low. 洗濯物を干す家 in 東ティモール

軒下の洗濯物↑（2014年3月2日、リキサ県、東ティモール）庭の洗濯物↑（2014年3月2日、リキサ県、東ティモール）　どの家にも洗濯物がたくさん干していあります。　東ティモールの家は洗濯物が多いような気がします。　あるいは目立つと言ってもいいかもしれません。　子供が多いからでしょうか？　確かに、水場に行くとよく洗濯している場面に出くわします。　綺麗好きなのかもしれません。【Bon appétit !】　In the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, remarkable progress in water supply and sanitation coverage in the last 10 years means that the country may meet Millennium Development Goal targets for overall water supply coverage but is unlikely to do so for sanitation. これでも無人野菜売り場 in 東ティモール

無人野菜売り場↑（2014年3月2日、リキサ県、東ティモール）ヤシの木のジャングル↑（2014年3月2日、リキサ県、東ティモール）　道端の塀の上に南瓜と夕顔が売られています。　南瓜は木につるされています。　東ティモールで見かける無人の野菜売り場です。　この売り場には料金を置く場所がありません。　立ち止まっていたら、どこからか人がやって来ました。　この辺りは、ヤシの木のジャングルに道路を通したようで、道の両側に大きなヤシの木がジャングルのようになっています。【Bon appétit !】　On the 25th of September the Minister of Justice, Ivo Valente, presented Timor-Leste’s Second and Third Periodic Reports on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in the 70th session of Committee on the Rights of the Child held in Geneva, Switzerland.　The Minister underlined that the authorities of Timor-Leste “are committed to combating trafficking in children and to assisting victims of this trafficking” and explained positive child friendly developments in the fields of education, birth registration, health and support for the disabled.　Timor-Leste’s National Action Plan for Children is currently in the process of development led by the National Commission on the Rights of the Child, with the support of UNICEF. 汲み上げ水車の目隠し牛

目隠しされてぐるぐる回る牛↑（1977年3月18日、北西辺境州、パキスタン）水の入った壺がぐるぐる回る↑（1977年3月18日、北西辺境州、パキスタン）目隠しされた牛がぐるぐる回っています。その横で、水車のように水の入った壺がぐるぐる回っていて、水を井戸の奥底から地表に組み上げています。ペルシャ井戸あるいは汲み上げ水車と呼ばれるものです。牛の回転が歯車によって水車に伝達され、これによって水車に付いている壺がぐるぐる回っています。それにしても気の毒なのは牛です。前に進んでいますが、いつまでも同じ所をぐるぐる回っています。現在ではほとんどが動力ポンプに置き換わっていて、ペルシャ井戸は絶滅していると思いますがどうでしょうか？【Bon appétit !】　A Persian well is a type of water well found in the Middle East, often used in conjunction with a Qanat（地下トンネルの灌漑施設）. アショカ王の岩 in ガンダーラ

アショカ王の岩↑（1977年3月18日、北西辺境州、パキスタン）Garyala村の友人たち↑（1977年3月18日、北西辺境州、パキスタン）　岩に細かい文字が刻まれています。　何という文字でしょう。　楔形文字ではないようです。　この岩は、アショカ王の岩と呼ばれています。　紀元前3世紀、敬虔な仏教徒であったアショカ王が各地の岩や石柱に大王布告や仏教の教えを刻んだと言われていますので、おそらくその一つだろうと思われます。　この地域はガンダーラと呼ばれる地域で、その昔、アレキサンダー王や玄奘三蔵がカイバル峠を越えてガンダーラに入ってきた地域です。【Bon appétit !】　The Edicts（布告、命令）of Ashoka are a collection of 33 inscriptions（碑文、碑銘）on the Pillars of Ashoka as well as boulders（大石）and cave walls made by the Emperor Ashoka of the Mauryan Empire during his reign from 269 BCE to 232 BCE. These inscriptions are dispersed throughout the areas of modern-day Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan and represent the first tangible evidence of Buddhism. The edicts describe in detail the Ashoka's view about dhamma, an earnest attempt to solve some of problems that a complex society faced.
