When I was in my mid-20s, my older friend told me that we, women couldn’t accept the fact that the other woman was simply better than us.
She said, We are so competitive and can’t admire other women without finding some flaws in them. You meet some, great looking girl with perfect figure. She looks gorgeous and she has a great job and she even has a perfect boyfriend. You start looking for her flaws. You just can’t accept that she is simply better than you on all accounts. You will say in your mind, Okay, she looks perfect and it seems like that she has everything. But, look at her background. Oh, she just graduated from some non named college. I am smarter than her, truly…These things just go on and on. We, girls can’t take the simple fact, or“she is better than me." On the other hand, guys are so simple. When they meet some, great looking guy who looks like having everything, they just admire them for everything. They just do. They don’t need to compare them with the perfect guy. He is great. He is smart. He is perfect. So what? He is him and I am what I am. Is her theory true? We, women always need “ but” and compete to get the satisfaction, “ I am better than her on this and that…” Do you often do that competition in your mind? Are guys always that simple and graceful? お気に入りの記事を「いいね!」で応援しよう
