前回の英語教室では試験は先延ばしにされ、もう１課試験範囲が増えて次回になされることになった(;Д;)




覚えて使いたい英単


1 facilities：設備 (cil にストレス)

We booked a nice bedroom with good facilities ： minibar,Internet access,satellite TV, and air conditioning.


※book は 動詞として使われると 予約する という意味になる

I booked tickets and hotels online.




2 staff： 複数のsがつかなくても複数形に扱われていることに注意。

staff はそこの職員、スタッフをひっくるめて指す場合は複数扱いとなる。


The staff were very helpful with tourist information.


3 recommend ：say something is good 勧める


It was lovely hotel so I recommended it to my sister.


4 en suite： bedroom with a bathroom

フランス語から入ったのか？

All our bedrooms are en suite,with bath or shower.


5 I'm afraid not. (= I'm sorry, but no.)



客A: Does the hotel have parking？

(Has the hotel got parking？ →ブリティッシュの場合)

従業員B ：No, I'm afraid not.


客A: Oh,what a shame.(= Oh, that's a shame.)

6 That's a shame/ What a shame

You say this when someone tells you something which is a little sad, or you don't want to hear.
