OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT:
The Client gives the translator, who accepts the task of personally translate from English to Japanese. The book of Ms Adame Ba Konare.
Subject to approval of the translation by the Client as provided in section 2 below, the Translator assign exclusively to the Client the right to print, reproduce, and to exploit the work consists of his translation, the subject of this contract.
ARTICLE 1 – STATEMENTS AND WARRANTIES
The Client shall state and guarantee
(a) That the work is his property and he has the right to dispose freely;
(b) The translation of the book and its publishing, distribution or other use of the translation will not violate any copyright or other proprietary rights of third parties.
(c) Agrees to exempt the translator from any liability and / or request for compensation from third parties.
The Translator declares and guarantees that he will provide the Client with a copy of the final and full text translation, with a conscientious literary quality, consistent with the rules of art and the requirements of the profession.
ARTICLE 2 – DELIVERY OF THE TRANSLATION, ACCEPTANCE AND REJECTION BY CUSTOMER, REVISION
A –Hand over the translation
General clauses
The Translator undertakes to provide to the Customer, to 4 months from the date of receipt of 50% deposit of the total amount of fees, a copy of the final and full text translation.
If the translator is not able to hand his manuscript on the agreed date, He will prevent the Client at least 8 days before that date. The Translator and the Client will agree upon a further period, not exceeding 90 days, and who will be the subject of a contract amendment
If this new date line is not respected by the Translator, the Client may terminate this contract by a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. In this case, the translator must return to the Client the already paid deposit.
B – Acceptance or rejection of the translation by the Client:
Modalities
1) Inability to complete the translation
If due to illness, accident, or any event of force majeure beyond his control, the translator is unable to complete the translation, he shall notify the client and make available the work already done. The Client can then appeal to another translator of his choice to complete the translation. Compensation under this contract will be divided between the two translators, according to their respective contribution to the translation completed and accepted.
ARTICLE 2– PRESENTATION, NAME OF TRANSLATOR, DELIVERY SCHEDULE AND PAYMENT, COST OF THE TRANSLATION

The Client agrees to include the name of the translator separately on each copy of the book.
The name of the translator will also appear in all bibliographic and promotional material related to the book.
However, in case of completion of the translation by a third party, the Translator shall be entitled to request that his name should not appear on the published translation.
B – Delivery time: (4) months after the sending of this contract signed and the payment of the down payment of 50 % of the total amount on the account of the translator.
C – Translation cost (total fees): 14000 Euros as lump sum.
D – Payment period: 50 % deposit when ordering, balance upon delivery of the translation.
