Qestion: "Is there anything in your country that could be a wonder of the world?"
Yes! We have the tomb of Emperor Nintoku. I'd like to introduce it to you. Emperor Nintoku was the 16th emperor of Japan. It's said that he'd ruled Japan during the early 4th centry A.D. The reason why I'd like to introduce his tomb as a wonder of Japan is that his tomb is the biggest in the world. You might think the biggest tomb in the world is Great Pyramid of Giz, but actually the tomb of Emperor Nintoku is larger than the Pyraid and the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, who built Great Wall in China, in the point of the size of the land. In Japan, mainly in the west part, there're several tombs of ancient emperors. They are called Kofun. And I think this Kofun of Emperor Nintoku is the most famous among Japanese. That's because, I'm sure, even if they haven't visited it, every Japanese have seen the picture of this Kofun at least once on a history textbook in their elementary school days. According to one research, it took over 16 years to build it, and more than 2000 people worked in a day. But for me, it's a real wonder that such a largest tomb in the world can exist in this small and narrow country, Japan. Unfortunately, I haven't visited it. If I have a chance to go, I'd like to walk and see around it.
