Last night, when I was half asleep and half awake
after going to bed, a haiku suddenly came to my mind.
I groped on the light and scribbled it on a notepad at
bedside. When I saw it this morning, I thought it was
well enough in its way as a haiku. The following three
haikus.
Waga inochi jyū-jin no hoshi tsuki sayuru
My life
on the Beastmen's Earth
The moon is clear
Umaré-kité akirété bakari yo Hatsu-kannon*
I was born this world
I'm dumfounded at confusion of people's mind
Today the first fes of Kannon
When my soul is separated
the dream will only freeze
in the waves
By Tadami Yamada
【*Note】Hatsu-kannon : Kannon is also the Kanzeon
Bodhisattva, the God/Goddess of Marcy.
January 18th is ”Hatsu-kannon". It is the first fes
of the Kanzeon Bodhisattva. This Buddha who has
thrown him/herself into this difficult land pray for
the world with great mercy. It is an annual event
of the Kannon faith, Buddhists, from an ancient.
