May 28th of the linar calendar is the anniversary of
the death of
Ariwara no Narihira (825-880 ; Tencho 2 -
Gangyo 4). He died at the age of fifty-six. A
tanka poet
of the early Heian period. He was one of
Rokkasen (The
great six
tanka poets of
Heian period). He was also
called
Zai Go Chujo (Ariwara the Fifth grade Lieutenant).
He was said to have been a beautiful man, and also said
to have been a Don Juan tipe man. It seemed that he
was supposed to be the author of the short story col-
lection "
Ise Monogatari (
Ise Stories)" of unknown author
in the
Heian period.
I wrote my own solution about "
Azusa Yumi" and
"
Tsutsuizutsu" in this "
Ise Monogatari" in myblog diary
April 10th in Japanease, and April 12th in Engrish).
I don't think any classical literary researcher has ever
said the same thing as my unraveling. I pointed out an
wrror in the interpretation of conventional researchers.
By the way, my four
haiku poems that were written
after today's business mourning ...
