イギリスで地震 ? I’ve never ever imagined that the Earthquake could hit Britain, the U.K.!! I ignored that Britain has been shaken. The earthquake which struck Britain this Wednesday was 5.2 magnitude. One of witnesses who had experienced the earthquake in Japan understood what it was, but most of English people seemed to be very very scared. I’ve lived in the northern France for more than four years, and here I’ve never experienced the earthquake. I lived in Paris for ten years, no earthquake. But if some day there’s an earthquake here, I think all bookshelves in rooms, all dishes in the kitchen will fall on the floor in a second. I can’t imagine… even the buildings here…All houses made of bricks, for examples! Take a look at BBC news. BBC news Here is an extra of the news: Dr Brian Baptie, of the BGS, said: "An earthquake of this size, of magnitude five or thereabouts, will occur roughly every 10 to 20 years in the UK. "So we can get these kind of moderate to significant earthquakes of this size but they're relatively rare." CNN news Here’s an extra of the news: “Earthquakes frequently hit Britain -- between 200 and 300 annually, according to the British Geological Survey, although most have a magnitude of less than 2. Earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.0 to 4.9 hit mainland Britain about once every two years and strike beneath the North Sea about once per year. Britain's strongest recorded quake was the North Sea quake of June 7, 1931,with a magnitude of 6.1. It was felt across the British isles and in northwestern Germany. The quake killed one person.” When I read this, I thought maybe the earthquake happened because of the North Sea Oil platform. I’ve found the news in French also: Yahoo! France "La secousse a été ressentie à travers toute l'Angleterre, en particulier au centre du pays. La police de Lincolnshire, ville la plus proche de l'épicentre, a dit avoir reçu des dizaines de coups de téléphones après le séisme, les habitants faisant état de dégâts matériels mineurs." Arigatoh, Thank you, Merci! In Finland, they pronounce “Kiitasu” to say “Thank you.” I don’t know how to write. お気に入りの記事を「いいね!」で応援しよう
