My American friend Brett gave me the review of the live of Asia.He is very lucky to see one.

What a fantastic show!!!!!!! I just can't say enough about the energy and
vibes that emanated from the stage at the Count Basie tonight!! Never in my
"wildest dreams" did I ever think I'd hear the entire first album performed
by the masters again!! They played the tunes with an unbridled enthusiasm
that made them seem fresh after all these years!!!

In particular, the opener, "Time Again" peeled the paint off the walls and
set the tone for the evening. "Without You" has always been a personal favorite
of mine and it had a real dynamic flow!! :"Cutting It Fine" ,with Geoff's
excellent instrumental coda just melted me into my seat. It was also a real
treat to hear a performance of "Roundabout", which was given a nice added
touch with Carl's own signature percussive sound. John did a great job with
the vocals too. Likewise, "Fanfare" rocked the house and I loved the tradeoff
of soloing between the maestro Steve and Geoff, once again, the added touch
was Steve's guitar, not usually present in any ELP version. For me though,
"Court Of The Crimson King" was the highlight of the evening. They nailed it in
a way that would have made Fripp proud and gave me goose bumps. "Video
Killed The Radio Star" sounded super as well with Geoff donning his famous gear
from the video itself. A real pleasure to the ears and eyes!!!

The showstopper was Carl's solo during "The Heat Is On", just when you think
he can't outdo himself he adds something to throw you off guard once
again!!! That balancing act with his drum stick on the cymbal has to be seen to be
believed!! He is also an ageless dynamo who never ceases to amaze!!!!!

I would like to thank Carl, Geoff (who signed after the show) and Steve (who
we caught going out the back door) for signing my old program and getting a
chance to let them know how much I enjoyed hearing them play again!!!!

All in all, a great show that I hope everyone that is a fan of Yes, KC, ELP,
Asia and prog in general, had a chance to catch!

I'd also like to wish John Wetton the best of luck with his recovery. John,
you did a great job and it was wonderful to hear your golden voice once
again!! We all hope to see you tour many more times in the future!!!!! Thanks
for sharing with us again!!!!!!!
