Lions Club: Journeygroup from the Country of the rising sun excited with performance from there homeland

Cultural Ambassador with material art, art and Sushi

The Lions Club of the administrative community of Hockenheim presented an evening with extraordinary performances of far-eastern culture. President Harald Süß welcomed a ten-member Japanese cultural group from Tokyo, whose members have hobbly aimed to show Japan's traditions on a privately organized trip around the world. Harald Süß has been in contact with the teacher of the group for 35 years, he met her while visiting Tokyo.
After a short presentation by the group by their spokeswoman Tomoe Urasaki, who has a English language school in Tokyo, follows a musical part. However, those who had expected a typical Japanese piece were surprised, because the "Loreleylied", which had been rehearsed for the German hosts, was heard. Very impressive afterwards were the Japanese songs, to the end surprised the group of the German song with "So ein Tag ..."

Art and bamboo
Kimiko and Sachiko demonstrated with feminine grace how a bamboo braid can be shaped into fast, fast-moving pictures, including a German house roof or a rainbow.
Imaginarily, when Hideyuki, one of the three male members of the group, touched a fictional hot object with gestures and great facial expressions, spooned them out of a bowl of soup, or imitated as a climax a car accident with a monkey. Tradition in Japan is the juggling with wooden toys. For example, a ball must be placed on a wooden platform with great skill, or the ball must be placed precisely with a notch on a wooden pin. The audience, who was involved here, quickly realized that this required tremendous dexterity.
Varied variations of the Japanese kimono with cheerful colors consisting of twelve and more parts and now worn on special occasions, were to be seen in the subsequent demonstration of Sada. Almost one art is the tying of the associated Obi, a kind of sash or wide belt that is looped around the waist.
Two young male members of the group performed typical Japanese martial arts, accompanied by noisy campaigns, at the end of which the mutual respect for the opponent is always at the end.
The German audience was astonished at the way in which the Japanese gifts were stylishly wrapped in beautifully designed silk cloths or fashionably fashioned shoulder bags with larger cloths, about half the size of a tablecloth. Artful knots are always present here - and skill is required.

National dish preparation
Visibly proud the Japanese guests were finally able to show the preparation of their national dish sushi by Sachiko. The basis for this is cold, acidified rice, which is provided with ingredients such as raw or smoked fish, raw seafood, tofu, egg or vegetable. The whole is rolled onto a seaweed sheet, the Nori, rolled with a bamboo mat rolled or pressed and then portioned into small pieces. "Very healthy - very healthy" is this food, the Japanese women pointed out again and again.
That the freshly prepared sushi tasted exquisite, the visitors of the Lions event could then convince themselves extensively.
