** Bouncy, catchy tunes you can dance to..... **

Chick Who Tries To Rock !! Excellent Melodies, Most Songs are Catchy...I know you're gonna laugh when I say this, but I honestly believe it's true. Natalie Imbruglia has to be one of most underrated singers ever. Pick yourself up from laughing on the ground and hear me out !! This CD is one of my favorites this summer. I Natalie's whole style & I don't know why she isn't bigger here in the U.S. Plenty of critics laughed off Natalie Imbruglia in her first album, "Left of the Middle ". Considered as an Australian actress who failed making money acting in soaps and now venturing in pop music to make up for it, Natalie was further criticized for not writing any of the lyrics for her hugely succesful single "Torn". She was also compared to Alanis Morrissette, and of course we all know who is hailed to be the better singer among the two. In this album, Natalie ignores her critics by releasing a new album.As the ignores them, she also debunks their accusations of her inability to write songs by co-writing almost all the songs in this album. Described as a more mature outing, this album affirms that. Finally, to the songs. Let me first tell you that if you hated, or at a certain extent, found "That Day " weird, don't feel bad.. It is weird, and its not catchy. That's its charm. But let it grow on you, and soon you'll find its quirky and unpredictable sound actually...appealing. The lyrics read like a "spur-of-the-moment " type of diary entry, with only Imbruglia's repetitions of "That Day" in the end of each chorus as it eventually fades out in the end is probably the only line in the dizzy spell of lyrics that jives with the melody.Not the best song in the album, although it DOES give out Natalie's message to her critics: this album is not at all like the first. White Lilies Island 【Natalie Imbruglia】 Funky Melodies, Typical Imbruglia-style Rockers.. The second song, "Beauty On The Fire ", is one of my favorites. It has this smooth, ambient feel in the beginning, which erupts into a fusion of strong, yet still suble guitars, an underlaying of the same ambient feel from the verses, and Imbruglia's drawl. The lyrics coincide well with the mood, with lines like "Tonight, could I be lost forever to drown my soul in sensory pleasure ". The lines "sensory pleasure ", as it is repeated every now and then by Natalie in the instrumental, haunts the electronic, subtle stormy feel of this song. This song is all about drowning your all, your everything to the passion and desire of a luvd one, with complete complacency, and this song just sails in this concept. The last song, "Come September" is quite an enigma. You don't exactly know what the significance of September is. However, the sound of this song sums up exactly what Natalie has been trying to say in this whole album, that she's changed and she's matured from the girl who sang "Wishing I Was There " while headbanging, jumping around the stage wearing an apron. This is a very calm song , with subdued lyrics & instrumental accompaniment, although the mood is still there. So, there you have it. What really annoys me is that people aren't gonna get into "White Lilies Island " because of it's lack of a really, REALLY catchy song to attract them to the album.Not even "Wrong Impression " could strike up a lot of sales, and Island is gonna be considered a failure when it's really a brilliant album. All in all, this is good sophomore effort from Natalie Imbruglia. With songs that are masters of sublime subtlety, encased with a voice that is beautifully fragile yet in any day can be powerful, this is a must for all Natalie fans. 【Track Listings】01. That Day02. ◆◇ Macy Gray Resurrects Billie Holiday's Sultry Passion.....

Funk-a-Licious !!!!! Satisfaction No Less: I Dig This GrayMacy Gray has been regarded as many to be the "next [insert diva's name here] ". I don't think that she's the next anybody... but she's the first Macy Gray To understand my appreciation for her, you have to go back to a day xxx when I went to the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida to see The Roots in concert. Everlast (former lead of "House of Pain" ) was supposed to open for them, but due to his mother being ill, he had dropped out and been replaced by... Macy Gray . I had heard her first single "Do Something ", but wasn't too impressed. I her voice, but the music was just a sample of Outkast's "Git Up Git Out ". Then she got up on stage... all I can say is amazing. She puts on a wonderful show, and sounds exactly like her CD (then again, with a voice as unique as hers, why wouldn't she? ). Her band is awesome, and the songs were gr8 ttt... I knew I had to buy her CD.Then it happened... the friend who I took with me to the concert had a few too many Grand Marniers to drink, and had to head outside. By this time, The Roots had been on stage for about an hour, and the show was coming to a close. I went outside to check on my friend, and saw her sitting at one of the tables outside, looking sick as a dog. I pulled up a chair to make sure she was alright. What happened next shocked me Macy and some of her band members were coming out of the House of Blues and saw my friend (there's not a nicer way to put this ) "tossing her cookies ". Macy actually sat down with us and made sure that my friend was alright Now how many people (famous or not) would just cast my friend off as some sort of lush and not even pay it any mind I got her autograph and a promotional two-song tape ("Do Something" & "I've Committed Murder" ).But back to the subject... the CD is wonderful. It starts strong with "Why Didn't You Call Me", a track about mixed emotions after a first date, and continues all the way to the "The Letter" at the end (which is an up-beat song, but sounds an awful lot like a suicide note if you listen to the lyrics)....."Caligula " is another good track on the CD, a sexually-toned look at what her man means to her ("He's somethin like my 7-11, he's got me open like an all-night store/ he's like the blue skies, he makes the heavens/ he give me some and then I want some more" ). "Still " documents the trouble involved with trying to leave an abusive partner. "I Try " is the popular single that you can currently hear on just about any radio station in the country.【 Macy Gray 】**** On How Life Is **** Your Crazy Auntie Macy Tells Us "How Life Is"..On How Life Is is an deep collection of 10 of the funkiest songs you could ask for.If Prince were a woman, he'd be Macy Gray. No one but those two can get away with lines like "Never lovin', but we're always f**kin' " (from "Caligula ") and "Love the life you've given but Im lookin' forward to the day I die, I can't wait to meetchu " (from "I Can't Wait to Meetchu ") on the same record. And in the midst of all this funk--and believe me, it's everywhere on this record, you can't come away from On How Life Is without knowing something in how you hear a bass guitar and drum combination has changed for the better--Macy Gray never lets herself take it too seriously. This album contains a total of ten tracks and provides a total of 42.55 minutes of listening pleasure.. The album starts off with the newly released sing entitled "Why Didn't You Call Me" which has a real funky sound.. It kind of reminds me a little of the sounds of Dr. John, who just so happens to be one of my favorite singers of late.. The next track is entitled "Do Something" and it is a combination of a soft rap and psychedelic mood music.. Of course there's the ever popular "I Try" and my all time favorite "Sex-O-Matic Venus Freak".. This albums consists of a complimentary combination of songs that insist you turn up the volume and dance..... I do have one complaint about this album, though. There are three songs ("Caligula" and "Sex-O-Matic Venus Freak" and "I've Committed Murder" ) that contain content not suitable for children to hear. They speak of murder and sex and even contain the "F" word. Seeing how both my little brothers love the music and beat of the album as much as I do, I have to be very careful to skip over those three songs when they are listening with me.All in all, I this album.The music is a refreshing change from the pop music that everyone seems to be hooked on. I can't help but dance and move around when listening to this CD. And, in the more than you really need to know category, some songs and the music do a gr8 deal at creating a "mood ". If nothing else, Gray's completion of all these feats in a single year are certainly an indication that she is worthy of your respect. Give her an hour. Within her music she'll show you her world... and you won't believe the secrets her voice reveals. Promise. Funk-a-licious is Definitely a Great Word for It... 【Track Listings】01. DMX is da Shizat !!!!! DMX - Gotta Love His Music This is an excellent and heart felt CD. DMX talks about his life and what he's been through. He'd felt extreme pain and hate. I bought this CD because Im one of DMX's number 1 fans. The one song I really in this CD is called "Ruff Riders Anthem ." The beat of the music is gr8 and I enjoy listening it to it One bad side about this CD is that it's the non edited version which means it contains all those curse words young children shouldn't hear , but through these words you can really feel what DMX is going through. DMX hits hard on his sophomore effort.We know he was hungry for a spot on rapper status and he has not let his fans down.My N***as, Slippin' , and Ready To Meet Him are a few tracks to listen to and enjoy. The hype party liftin "No Love For Me" is the bangin' joint of the CD. Blackout and Keep Your Sh*t The Hardest will also get your blood rushin'. The Omen features DMX's alter ego Damien. The CD is very well done which features: The LOX, Drag-On, Swizz Beats, Mary J Blige, Marylin Manson, and more...Pick it up Y'all. This is the only DMX album I own and do not know if his previous albums are as good but I can assure of one thing and that is I will buy his album which is now in stores. This album will lead me to buy any albums DMX has coming out and probably any albums he is on, whether if it is a soundtrack or he is helping another rapper out on their album. If you enjoy DMX then you will definitely have to check out many other rap albums.. I recommend you go and check out Ice Cube, 2-Pac, and Lox.. You will definitely get a "rush" from these artists if you enjoyed DMX's "Flesh of my flesh....Blood of my blood.".. You need to go out to your nearest music store today and purchase a DMX product. You will be filled with adrenaline from start to finish !!!!!【DMX】 Flesh Of My Flesh... Blood Of My Blood DMX: Dark Hardcore Rap at it's Best... If you like to hear good music you should get this DMX Cd, it has a gr8 variety of songs and the lyrics are flowing and fit the beat.Most rap cd's tend to have one or two good songs then fade away. This cd can be listened from start to finish and be enjoyable. Unlike some rap cd's all the songs have the same strong beat but X does a good job of mixing his heart felt intense songs with some more rhythm and blues type. The reason I got this album was because his 1st album was really tight. I got his 2nd cd too which was also good but I his 1st a little more than the 2nd one. He just came out with a cd called "Then There Was X ". I haven't heard all the songs on that album but I've heard some songs off that album I like what I've heard so far. I DMX because he is original too like Tupac in a way. But even though there will never be another Tupac cause I his music too for his originality. See DMX is pretty deep too. I his cd's because it's kind of like Tupac cd's where I can sometimes relate to there life experiences. See he's original and his lyrics are deep and poetic like Tupac but N.Y. style. See Puffy is just whack because he has no originaltiy and he just talks about him being a high roller and all..... His lyrics don't even make sense sometimes because he is just trying to rhyme. Well DMX is Puffy so that's one of the reason I like DMX. If you haven't heard his music you should go check it out. IMO his cd's and I mean all of his cd's so far you'll be getting your money's worth. Well really you should go check it out and maybe you can relate to some of his experiences and also experience some of his Gr8 talent and jam it on your system.Slippin' provides an interesting look on his early life as a kid. Even the skits are amusing. Track15. Heat I really like this song, but most people don't seem to. A sort of horror movie sounding beat, with drum and bass and some other sounds, along with sound effects. Its a story track, like ATF. So, I really enjoy it. DMX basically tells of a robbery/shootout, but one of his boys die. It's about the feelings and experiences of this robbery, alot like the movie, Heat.Great track. The heat is on what's my next move Do I stick with the score, or get with the door Feds got the drop in the back of the Uhaul Snipers on the roof chance of getting away too small Tell'em like this look, it's gonna be a shoot out Whoever make it out meet back at the new house good luck If I don't see you again peace Let's handle our business with these government police You and you go out the front you take the back You cover the first two and I'll take the sack Boomer didn't make it, neither did Stan Now it's three n*ggaz, splitin' four hundred grand (aight) We all feel the loss but enjoy the profit, The game is the same and nothin gonna stop it Most times you make it one time you won't All a n*gga could really do is have a vest under the coat (come on) A lot has changed for me musically since buying this CD. This CD opened my eyes to the whole world of hip-hop , which I previously would have never given a chance. The album hasn't changed. It's still full of swears and violence. The genre hasn't changed either, many of the artists are like DMX in this way. What has changed, however, was my willingness to give other types of music a chance. Im glad I bought this album. ◆ Lillix Knows How To Rock !!!! ◇

Lillix: A Legend in the Making !!!! Lillix Is Their Own... They might be cute as all hell, but British Columbian all girl outfit Lilliix are not just your ordinary girl group. They play their own instruments and list Queen as one of their influences. Since they hail from Canada, Lillix has been trying real hard to shake comparisons to that other Canadian - Avril Lavigne. But what Lillix is not, is a pseudo-punk girl group. They're a quartet - Louise Burns on bass, Kim Urhahn on drums, guitarist Tasha-Ray Evin and her sibling, keyboardist Lacey-Lee and they have a real viable talent. Because Lillix has worked with such producers as Linda Perry [of 4-Non Blondes fame, and who was responsible for Pink's new musical incarnation], Glen Ballard[Alanis Morissette], and the Matrix[Avril Lavigne] ; that pop edge is still very present, but there is definitely an edgier more refined quality to Lillix's music. Lillix was introduced to the music world as the group who sang the theme song of the WB show "What I Like About You " [they sang a rendition of the Romantics' classic by the same name] and with the release of their first single "It's About Time " and a album entitled "Falling Uphill ", Lillix is poised to make a lot of noise. The Evin sisters sing much of the Lillix lead vocals along with Burns and though Im not yet able to discern one from the other, they all have very strong sounds. "It's About Time " in my eyes is probably one of the weakest tracks from "Falling Uphill " but it has that catchy hook and chorus that makes it memorable so I understand the logic of having it be the first single, it plays to that teen-angst [the girl themselves are teens ] feeling, but the songwriting is perhaps a bit more mature: "Time is creeping behind me, surrounding around me/Fading the words so desperately/Now give me a reason that I can believe in/Time is something you can't rewind " **** Falling Uphill ****【Lillix】**** Better Than Avril, Not As Good As Canadian Bacon. As usually happens, some tracks on the CD were even better than their hit.I really "Tomorrow ": the first song on the track had a wonderful chorus that, surprisingly, didn't even mention the word tomorrow: "And I wake up, put on my makeup/Pick up the phone, nobody's home/I need to break out, get me some takeout/Stand inside a crowd, I want to scream out loud . . . " etc. The next song, "Quicksand ", was a little bit thicker (like the name) a style. However, it, too, was a wonderful song. Then I went straight to "Dirty Sunshine ." The only song with a curse word-- the s-word-- this song is also a bit slower, and with a different meaning--but a gr8 song nonetheless. Etc. etc. to "Invisible "--, just --to "Because " and "Promises "--definitely not what I had expected . . . though someday I might like them. I was simply WOWED by "Fork in the Road ", however, and simply ecstatic the hear the terrific remake of "What I Like About You "--such a great song Tomorrow - Good lyrics !! 5 starsQuicksand - Love it !! 4.8 starsIt's About Time - possibly my favorite. The first single off the album, gr8 words, guitar, and vocals. 5 starsDirty Sunshine - great song, I think it's the 2nd single. Catchy beat. 4.7 starsSick - GREAT rock song!!!!!! Fast lyrics, but thankfully you have the booklet at the front of the CD to help you with those. Wonderful beat and gr8 voice, as usual....4.9 starsInvisible - I'm still half and half about this one. They sound almost mechanical at first in the chorus. I like the idea of this one, which makes it better. A little slow for me, but still okay. 4.2 stars24/7 - Good song !! The first sentence is unbelievably hard to understand, and the bookelt doesn't tell you the words to that first part, but great song all in all. 4 1/2 starsBecause - LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE it !! I was told to turn this one down because I was playing it so loudly. 5 starsPromises - great guitar, and a very good tune. 4.9 starsFork in the road - LOVE it !! It's a very girl-band, pop-like song, but don't let that stop you, because it has a gr8 beat. 5 starsLost and Confused - like it a lot....if you focus too much on it, you'll see that it's a little depressing, almost! 4.7 starsWhat I Like About you - If you watch the TV show, you will love this one even more !! It's a gr8 song, better than the ROmantics version. 5 stars Overall, ths CD rocked !!!!This is a pretty impressive debut. These girls play their own instruments and write their own songs. Also, this CD is enhanced with a bunch of cool bonuses like the awesome video for "It's About Time " and buddy icons, etc. While they're targeting that ultra-important TRL crowd, Lillix has enough talent and maturity to stand on their own. They're definitely part of the "new breed " of musicians that includes talents like Micelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton. Lillix' music can be best described as a softer, gentler kind of rock music with harmonization and pop-friendly melodies which makes their sound accessible. If you The Donnas, Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch, or just good pop rock music, you will this album. It is guaranteed to stay in your CD player and is the essential beach CD. ■ Much more Heaveier Stuff Emotionally and Musically !!!!

Pop Punk Goes Dark...A Much Improved Good Chalotte, Fun to Listen To I Good Charlotte's songs.They sing about their lives, and everything that's happened. "These are the chronicles of life and death and everything between/ these are the stories of our lives as fictional as they may seem ." (From The Chronicles of Life and Death)I recently saw Good Charlotte's for "Predictable " of "The Chronicles Of Life And Death " album.It was the furthest thing from what I would have expected out of theseguy's.The follow up to their self titled debut album "Good Charlotte ", and their sophomore hit release "The Young And The Hopless " shocks listeners with it's dark, edgy sound.The band's two prier releases have done amazingly well,so you ask... why change the formula now Well Good Charlotte stated in an interview on "Fuse " a music channel that plays little brother to the more commercial channels such as Mtv , that they wanted to capture a more dark, artistic sound rather then their predictable party pop/punk sound. The band was tired of being labeled as just another whinny band with guitars, that makes it's watered down style of punk rock.. This album is a real leap from their other stuff,but in my opinion it shows growth,and a lot of musicianship.. This album is for the true Good Charlotte fans - lead singer Joel Madden announced.. "We do this for the the love of music,and the feeling we get when a fan comes up to us and tells us our music has changed their life ".. I personally have been a huge Good Charlotte fan since their first release,and was expecting another great album,but the same typically Good charlotte sound... Well they showed me,and millions of others that they aren't a typical pop/punk band,and they aren't afraid to venture out into theunknown, which is well established with their third album "The Chronicles Of Life And Death"..... My favorite songs are "Ghost Of You ," "The World is Black ," and "I Just Wanna Live ." Ghost of You is about someone important in your life leaving, and how it hurts that they're gone.The World is Black is about how the world is cold from all the bad things people do.I Just Wanna Live is about what's it like being famous, and how it's hard living your life.【Good Charlotte】The Chronicles of Life & Death No Words To Say-by Joel.."Once Upon A Time: The Battle of Life and Death " may have you wondering if you even picked up the right CD. It starts off like some twisted Japanese gospel, then suddenly explodes into a blistering orchestral piece with throbbing back harmonies, a bit like what George Lucas wrote for The Phantom Menace."The Chronicles of Life And Death " is more like what you were expecting. It's almost funny the way the band so matter-of-factly start hamming it up, as if nothing happened. There isn't much fascinating about this song, except for the lyrics. "Today could be the best day of, today could be the worst day of, today could be the last day of your life. It's your life ." I see somebody's been listening to Switchfoot."Walk Away (Maybe) " is where it starts sounding like Hoobastank, 'cept maybe for that Transylvanian piano cascade in the bridge. So far, it's a relatively weak start, but it's almost like a bluff.The opening of "S.O.S. " is like a really nice ballad, but jumps up the tempo around 15 seconds in, and it takes another 20 seconds before I start to realize it sounds good this way. I'm not one to pay much mind to guitar solos, but the one in this song just kicks all manner of ass. I "I Just Wanna Live " It is a spookular, jazzy disco kind of song with deliberately ridiculous falsetto sprinkled throughout. Very nice rhythmic guitar and a conservative use of the string sections.This kind of originality is just the thing we need more of these days."Ghost of You " takes on more of a Smash Mouth/Tal Bachman form. Quite frankly, the chorus is amazing. Awash with dancing strings, it flows intensely, although I can see how it would look ostentatious.Great Ending !!!!"Predictable " sounds like it'll be some girl song at first, but this is about as far as you can get from that. Low, reverberating guitars carry this kinda far-out melody straight into a loud spoken rant that sounds far angrier than anything I've ever heard from Linkin Park.I the sheer honesty of it."Secrets " has some neat guitar work, and a speedy joyous melody that is so elementary, I wonder why you don't hear it all the time. "We all have a darker side, a place we keep that no one else will find ." Yep, we just saw that, didn't we Fair warning, this has Yellowcard written all over it."The Truth " rides on a dissonant, low piano melody, and wonder of wonders, it actually stays slow throughout the entire song."I want the truth from you, gimme the truth even if it hurts me ." Obviously, it's an attempt to rehash Hoobastank's "The Reason ", although I guess some might consider Joel Madden's raspy screams to be very "classic rock " or something. Sounds more like Adam Sandler if you ask me."The World Is Black " has a nice, "conversational " flow, and an 80's melody.Favorite line is "We come into this world, and we are all the same, and in that moment there's no one to blame ." It only took two listens for "Mountain " to grow on this brain, even though it's about as filler as they come, like one of those "just get to the chorus " songs. Still, I find myself anticipating it with unfounded glee.The ambitious "We Believe " is akin to "Hold On " with its message about getting people to stop carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.It's a little schmaltzy, utilizing the typical formula of world-sucks versesand inspirational choruses, but it has lots of energy. "It Wasn't Enough" counterattacks with Incubus-style depressant. Finally, "In This World (Murder) " takes off like something from the Matrix Soundtrack, with undertones of Tonic or Collective Soul. It all comes down to a tiny little bit of string section that suddenly grows back up into a fleeting orchestral grand finale before fading out.The last song differs, depending on whether you pick up the Life or Death version of the album. Verily I say unto you, choose life.I was never much of a fan of Good Charlotte or the so called "genre" they represent, but I find The Chronicles of Life And Death truly impressive.【Track Listings】01. Let Me Tell You A Secret... A Grammy Winning Classic Southern culture, with imagined memories of god-fearing salt of the earth people, has always been a mystery to this psuedo-sophisticated upstate NY boy. Hotel owners and souvenir stands from Maryland through Georgia all had their charms, in a watered down lets please the Yankee tourist kinda way, but I never felt I truly understood. I tried grits and way too sweet iced tea , battled bugs the size of a baby's arm and bought fireworks... Scratchy, with unusual pronunciations -- somewhere between deep South and hillbilly -- it is in turns plaintive, erotic, joyous. And Williams' guitar rhythms can be gentle (as in "Greenville," Williams list of complaints about a narcissistic, abusive man ) or driving (as in her mantra-like emotional purging of an ex-lover, "Joy." ) On "Car Wheels ," Williams is most likely to sing about -- usually that rejected her, and left her empty of life and pride. I no longer viewed the South as a backwater cultural wasteland and my mind started to drift to juke joints, Sun Studio, the King Biscuit Flower Hour, Nashville, Graceland (the place not the record) and the very real/imagined breeding ground for my life's passion, Rock and Roll. By 1998 (Brighten the Corners, I think ) Ms. Williams released Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, her masterpiece and probably the 90s musical high-water mark, at exactly the right time for me to realize what its all about. I think I finally get it. The record was 6 years in the making with a whole lot of reported record company pressure. Rumors of scraped producers and session men abounded and expectations grew but Ms. Williams seemed resolute in her desire for perfection. Sonically the record is flawless and was obviously worth the wait. The snare cracks, slide guitar moans but it is her voice, which has never sounded better and justifiably takes center stage. The sh-t hot band never overshadows her but always enhances that voice. With slurred esses and brilliant alliteration, she yearns, drawls and testifies like some Holy alliance of Al Green and Hank Williams Sr.. Absolutely P e r f e c t ！！！！！ Car Wheels On A Gravel Road【Lucinda Williams】 Original, Gritty and Real This is what the record execs just don't get: music is meant to help us make sense of our lives, our real lives where people and lose and die and dream. And no cliched pop ballad sung by a pretty boy band or a tarted-up seventeen-year-old vixen will ever be able to match the talents of someone like Williams. Check the CD book -- all the songs, with one exception and one co-written song, were written by Williams. I didn't even need to check the book to know that -- you FEEL in the music that she lived through these things, that these things really happened. Williams' style is not really country or blues or folk or rock.It's a little of both, and since I artists you can't define (see my previous review of the Indigo Girls' "Rites of Passage" ), I took to her immediately. The music (and the emotion) is raw but technically polished, performed by Williams and a skilled group of musicians with the demonstrated finesse of a group of pros (Williams has been around a long time, but is just recently getting some long-overdue credit ). 　This is an essential collection for those who appreciate singer-songwriter performers. It is and is not folk, country, or rock all at once. There is not a bad song on the recording and all you want to do when the last notes of the last song fade away is to play it again, and again Maybe I think so highly of this album because I had already fallen in with Williams' songwriting as channeled through Emmylou Harris ('Sweet Old World', on the stellar Wrecking Ball ) and Mary Chapin Carpenter ('Passionate Kisses' ). Maybe it's because the album was produced by long-time E Street Band pianist and musician extraordinare, Roy Bittan. Whatever it is, I'm sold. Easily one of the few Gr8 albums of 1998 (Mermaid Avenue, the joint venture between Billy Bragg and Wilco being another ). This is one of those CDs that grows on you with each consecutive play, and one that the changing tide of the music business will never diminish. Mark Walberg's Best Work Yet !!!!! Seth Green Cracks me up, Good times in General..What can I say ?I'm a complete and utter soundtrack freak. *rummages through CDs* This is one of those rides that are mindless but so much fun. After an audacious burglary in Venice, Ed Norton (playing a total sleazeball to perfection ), double crosses the team and leaves them for dead under a frozen lake. A few years later, the surviving members of the team decide to take their loot back. The action is almost non-stop, and I've read reviews that have called this movie a two hour commercial for the Mini Cooper. This car is truly fine in this movie, but the plot twists and the hihg tech coolness in the story constantly keep the viewer guessing.Seth Green is a surprise and is the most engaged of the actors. Unfortunately, Charlize Thieron and Mark Wahlberg, while clearly way better looking than Michaeal Caine, played so understatedly that they could have mailed in the performances. What is on this CD and where and when you're going to listen to it does matter a little as well. I mean, if you're running on a treadmill, I don't recommend this.However, if you're having a laid-back day, sipping on some espresso, then go ahead and pop it in. Even the fast paced songs won't bother you ; there aren't enough of them to get you truly revved up and they make for a nice change from the other tracks. So the choice really is up to you and what you're into.If you soundtracks and feel like something you probably haven't heard before, then by all means, give this one a shot. Heck, go rent the movie first and make a decision from there Every song is there (except for when Stella is driving her little mini in and out of traffic and I think Macy Gray is singing which was kind of disappointing actually, even though I don’t like Macy Gray, but that’s another topic entirely ).You can go from there and decide. Gray gives the film a modern update with modern technology and music along with fast-witted lines and humor to make the film more entertaining than most action films.. With a star-studded cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Edward Norton, and Charlize Theron along with a strong supporting cast including neo-soul singer Mos Def, Seth Green, Jason Statham, and veteran Donald Sutherland, "The Italian Job" is one of those rare summer action films that keeps on being entertaining with a dose of brains for the film intellectual..... An explosives expert named Left Ear (Mos Def ), a computer hacker named Lyle (Seth Green ), and getaway driver Handsome Rob (Jason Statham ). Helping the team for the heist is Steve (Edward Norton ) who had hired a few guys to help him on the heist, whom John doesn't think is a good idea. What I about this movie is that the team used a special-equipped computer to watch Steve's every moves and that included how much debt he was in. And to be able to control the cable TV modem this SOB had and the traffic lights in the city where they're able to either change the color signals which they did. Also, I like the scenes where Stella deliberately sets herself up to become Steve's cable company technician to go out and "repair " his cable modem. Steve then attempts to make the move onto Stella who poses as "Becky " the cable company technician. What was so funny as hell is when Charlie and his partner were sitting in a car, they both spotted the cable company van with the cable company name, the name that Steve is a customer with. So anyway, Charlie gets out of the car, walks up to Becky, makes small talk with her and then goes over to her place to have sex with her and then while she's dead asleep to the world , Charlie steals her work uniform to give to Stella to wear to pose as the cable company employee. Stella's intention was to steal back the gold that living SOB had in his posession. The other scene is where Stella has set up a "hot date " with Steve at a very expensive restaurant. Steve tries his best to talk Stella into going back to his place, but Stella would have none of this. That is when the rest of the mob has moved in on Steve real fast. Those a$$-kicking Mini Coopers. I LUV them.. Stella, Charlie, and the others were driving them in order to each of them taking positions in trying to corner Steve who is of all thieves the loser.. The stunts in this movie is really out of this world.. I mean the cast.. They were kicking real good.. As far as movies of the year is concerned, I find that this movie overall is the best action-filled of this century...... Of all people, I think both Theron, Wahlberg, and Norton kick a$$ in this movie.They are the best, I mean the best. The last element of the special features is the deleted scenes. I would have to concur with the decision to take all of these scenes out as they really don't advance the movie that much. For the most part these are just scenes from the car chase where the cars get separated. I the pacing of the car chase at the end as it was and am glad they took out the scenes they did. Overall, the extras on this DVD give you a pretty good look behind the scenes at the production process involved in bringing you what I think is an entertaining movie. I highly recommend this movie for action movie fans. The story is pretty good, the acting is convincing for the most part, and the additional features illustrate that what you are seeing is real footage and not just a bunch of people on a soundstage working with blue screens. The movie isn't perfect, but very few movies really are. If you can live with some of the problems in the story and Charlize Theron's acting job, I think you'll find this a very entertaining movie.

● Above Average Debut for P!ATD !!!!! ○

You're A Regular Decorated Emergency.. This Was a Therapeutic Chain of Events.!!!!Panic! At the disco's debut album, "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" , is by far a gr8 ALBUM. that should be listened to. I was never a big fan of emo music but after a lover rent me this CD I now this genre of music. If you Fall Out Boy you will this CD.It's Fall Out Boy with a fresh twist. What makes it Gr8 is the danceable music, and the fact that it's original and different. From club drum machine songs, to even old timey 30's 40's vaudevillian style songs, Panic! can appeal to anyone. How many punk-rock labeled bands do you know that use horns and cellos Also it doesn't hurt that this band won Video of the year at the VMA's. , to the main point. Like the others, I first heard "I Write Sins Not Tragedies " on the radio and my curiosity was aroused by this band. And on this album, there're easily so many songs that outshine IWSNT. Ryan Ross is definitely an endowed lyricist and composer, bringing out a unique side of alternative rock to the listeners, at the same time showing what they're capable of. I really enjoyed all the songs, Gr8. If your tired of listening to the same thing song after song, I highly recommend grabbing "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out ." From dance, hooky songs like "Time to Dance " to glam-style, 1930 esque dramatic story lines, like "But It's Better If You Do ," this ALBUM has something for everyone. So pick it up and, well, start Dancing! At the disco. 【Panic! At The Disco】A Fever You Can't Sweat Out The Motion. The E-Motion. The SEX. The Gimmicks. Unique, Clever, Mature and Exciting. A must have for any music lover.. Something for both the lyric-lover and the tune-lover.. Simply Amazing.. This album, in my opinion one of the best of last year is quite remarkable.. 'A fever you can't sweat out' kicks off quite close to home, it gives the impression that someone is tuning the radio in and some of P!ATD's tracks are played quickly to give a good effect.. Next up, 'The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage' sets the album up perfectly with it's catchy chorus of "Swear to shake it up and you swear to listen..".. Later on in the album, is a fantastic dance track ('Time To Dance') - it's dancing-worthy beats and compelling lyrics are an automatic hit with any original fan.... The set-up of this album is quite remarkable; it's set up into two parts. The first half, dance & tecno beats and the second, more 'antique' and is played with accordions and piano's. A good move, as many people I've asked liked this concept. What I about this album was how the tracks seemed to blend in with one another. The most noticeable is from the end of "But it's better if you do " and the beginning of "I write sins not tragedies ". The effect of a harp being plucked collides between one and the other. My favorite song, "Build God, Then We'll Talk " uses lyrics & melody to twist the innocent "Sound of Music " naivety with the raw realization that real life is disturbing, and yet still maintains that playful attitude. Although I their lyrics I do think that their next album will be light years better, because most of their songs have only one verse and one chorus that is repeated over about four times to make it the standard three minute song length. And after learning their story of discovery I can see why that is. Believe it or not this Moulin Rouge band is barely old enough to buy dry ice. Fresh out of high school, these Las Vegas graduates had posted some demos on the internet which were discovered by Fall Out Boy's own Pete Wentz.Yet to play a live show, Panic! at the Disco was signed, and had to put out an album quick. Due to the pressure of release they didn't have a whole lot of time to write a whole CD., we all know how the music industry can be.Therefore in conclusion and based on my research the next step of the scientific method would force me to come up with the hypothesis that their next album, due to more time, will not by as challenged. But don't let that stop you from taking the time to begin a LOVE AFFAIR with them now.I would also suggest checking around for a couple songs to stream online before buying the album, if you even one song you'll probably feel the same about the whole CD.For all those who ROCK and alternative music Go pick up a copy of this album as it is different and you might be surprised. ● Almost as Good as Take This To Your Grave ○

Have I Been Brainwashed or Do I Really Love This "Punk Pop Crap" Catchy, sometimes inspired pop-punk.. Fall Out Boy are a band I really , some of you who are into your music may have known them for a while but those who are not so into their music will probably just have heard of them recently. Fall Out Boy got their name from a Simpson's character which doesn't sound like much but they asked the crowd at a show what they should be called, a fan said it and it stuck. The band are made up of four members.They are Patrick Stump, he sings and plays guitar, Pete Wentz bassist and lyricist, Andrew Hurley (Andy mostly), drums and Joe Trohman on guitar. They are out of the Chicago music scene and a few members had been playing in more hardcore bands for a while but all met up and decided to start a band. They released a first album called Evening Out With Your Girlfriend but this was done without Andy so the band don't really call it their first album. They then released Take This To Your Grave which was what got them more known and was an album given good reviews from the critics. Last year they releast From Under The Cork Tree and ever since the release of the single Sugar We're Goin Down have been big in USA. So From Under The Cork Tree their latest is still a pop punk type album but with a more mainstream sound. Take This To Your Grave was more real pop punk and I it. I don't like this album as much but I do like the fact that every song is so different from the next. Pete has always been talented with his lyrics, they are witty but deep in meaning as well and he is just skilled at what he does. Their song titles also tend to be long it's an ongoing thing they seem to do but I usually abbreviate them in some way. As do many people with this album, I always refer to it as FUCT, I know it is immature but easiet to say. 【Fall Out Boy】From Under The Cork Tree Sinking Ships and Breaking Hearts I initially heard of Fall Out Boy when I heard about their nomination for an award on MTV.. I'm sure all of us have heard "Sugar We're Going Down" either on the radio or have seen the video and you probably had no idea that it was Fall Out Boy.. I'm not sure if there is something in the background brainwashing me to madly love Fall Out Boy and to shun all of my former favorites such as Green Day, but currently Fall Out Boy is the only thing that has the privilege of touching my CD players..... I'm listening to the album now and as I lift my fingers from the keyboard, I can feel the vibrations of the bass. I know we all that feeling, hell, that's why we all buy subwoofers... I keep feeling it rumble throughout, and it's not soo much that it gets annoying, or bothers yours ears, it's just that kind of perfectness that you'd like to drown your body in if you could. The drums never miss one beat, staying strong from beginning to end of the song, never letting up. It's the drums of heaven. With a touch of 'Senses Fail ' and a slight hint of the much lighter side of 'The Used ' Fall Out Boy will not dissapoint. I bought their album the day it came out, (May 3rd, 2005) and today is the 10th; majority of my played songs are remaining of those from, 'From Under the Cork Tree .' Makes a gr8 gift , or ever personal purchase. I'd buy it even if I hated Alternative and Punk music, it's just soo Gr8. 【Aaliyah】The Sound Of The New Soul Revolution

Homegirl Has Grown !!!! Aaliyah's Voice, Powerful Ballads, Good Production. Aaliyah was a Gr8 singer. I her originality, and how she sticks out from today's R&B female singers. It's been a couple of years since her album (One in A Million ) came out, but I still listen to it.There's some really gr8 beats including "One in A Million ", "Four Page Letter ", and "If your girl only knew ". In addition, she's featured in alot of other albums and soundtracks, one of the them was the recent "Dr.Doolittle " soundtrack. I cant wait for another album from Aaliyah. This CD does have a Timberland/Missy Elliot sound -- mostly because they produced some of the tracks and Missy is featured on a few songs, such as the intro "Beats 4 da Streets " and was also in the "Hot Like Fire " video. At the time it premiered, I didn't like that video mainly because there was so much "Missy " everywhere (video and radio-wise ) and this video had Missy written all over it. And although Missy made a cameo in the "If You're Girl Only Knew " video, I really like that one (and the song) because it had more of Aaliyah's energy mixed with a hint of everyone else. Whereas, "Hot Like Fire " had more of everyone else's energy and very little Aaliyah."If You're Girl Only Knew " had such a strong beat that always makes me remember the group of girls dancing with Aaliyah in the video; they looked like they were having so much fun There is a variety of moods mixed in this album, some that make you wanna get up and dance, and others that really make you ponder.She is one of my favorites.And if you have thumping speakers, the BASS is Great. 【Aaliyah】 One In A Million Soul Music Like You've Never Heard Before... This album is Everything a Young Brokenhearted Girl Needs. I bought it when it first came out. I listened to it everyday. Her songs were like describing my feelings toward someone I loved. Besides loving her album, I her because I knew she had went through heartbreak also. Her life with R. Kelly had just ended.Her album featured other talented artist like Missy and Timberland. If you see this album in the store, buy it. Your money is not going to waste. One day, I came home to listen to her songs. As it went along, it started sounding scratched and weird. It was destroyed. I almost cried. Its been almost two years now and I still miss hearing all my favorite songs. For some reason, I can not find AALIYAH's album anywhere. I guess mine got worn out. If I do find it, I'll spend my last dime on it. It's just that good. It's one in a million.　【 Track Listings 】 It's Aaliyah, so Everything is a pro. 1. Beats 4 Da Street (intro): i like it. Missy's simple introduction of the new mature Aaliyah was classic. GRADE:A 2. Hot Like Fire: this song is confusing. first i like it and then I dont in the same breath. I much rather listen to the remix. GRADE: C 3. One In A Million: THIS IS IT YA'LL !! If they ever make a compilation album of the best R&B/SOUL songs of all time, this song needs to be right up there. From her haunting vocals to the shadowy beats to the meaningful lyrics; this song has it all. GRADE: A+++++4. A Girl Like You: this song is very out of place. it should have been placed farther down the album. It's not a bad song just not one of her best. GRADE: C 5. If your Girl Only Knew: one of the only true "fast" dance songs on the album, I LUV the whole concept of the song. The mistress speaks out, voicing her opinions and not feeling so sure of herself in the affair. So original and not to mention a classic Timbaland song. GRADE:A+ 6. Choosey Lover: this song should NOT have been included on the album. It sounds forced, which is something Aaliyah cannot pull off convincingly. GRADE:D- 7. Got to Give It UP: see #4 GRADE: C 8. 4 Page Letter: this is the point of the album that makes it alll worth while!! She sounds so convincing and honest in how she sings her heart out to the boy of her dreams. I luv the beat... so fresh.. so echo-y. GRADE:A+ 9. Everything's Gonna Be Alright: my favorite unreleased song on the album. Fast paced and grooving. It's also my favorite non-Timbaland song of hers. I can just imagine rolling downtown with my friends with this song. GRADE: A+ 10. Giving You More: a good mid tempo song that fits right in with the flow of the album. Soothing beats, sweet Aaliyah vocals, a very vesatile song in terms of dancing or just chilling. GRADE: B 11. I Gotcha Back: a too short song on the lines of Giving You More except more up tempo. Very positive, but a little out dated. GRADE: B- 12. Never Givin' Up: Calms down a bit.. LUV the background music..simple intro..sorta sounds like TLC'S Red Light Special..simple lyrics...not really challenging in terms of lyrics and vocals. GRADE: B- 13. Heartbroken: sounds semi-autobiographical and honest. lyrics are so very modern.. a gr8 slow jam and a great break up song in contrast to all the "in-your-face" songs out there. GRADE: B+ 14.Never Comin' Back: I LUV the Aaliyah intro..prerequisit "scorned woman song" sung in a traditional Aaliyah slow jam style. GRADE: B 15. Ladies In Da House: Girlpower is exuded in this song.. I LUV the Timbaland "fellas" cameo. Not really unique in terms of beats this far into the album: GRADE:B- 16: The One I Gave My Heart To: another classic Aaliyah ballad. this one, especially, stresses her vocals. I LUV the lyrics to it as well. GRADE: A+ 17. Came To Give Love (outro): one of the best outro's Ive ever heard. Aaliyah gives back.. GRADE:A- Best Song(s) : "One In A Million", "If Your Girl Only Knew", "4 Page Letter", "Everything's Gonna Be Alright", "One I Gave My Heart To". Banging Beats !!!!! The Hardcore R&B Siren...

+++ Fave new Rock Band +++

an awesome jump start to your day CD Kick some [butt]BULLETS BULLETS BULLETS. Wow !!!!!Still reveling in the awesomeness that was the bno show at chain. I Looooove skye.Its high energy, rapid fire, kick you in the face rock. The opening track had me sold. So its not the deepest intelectual album ever written, but if your looking for good ol fashioned weight-room adrenaline this is it. It does slow about half way through, but finishes out strong. Loosely drawn from the same vein as Offspring's Smash. Have you guys ever heard of Bullets N Octane ?They're this rising punk rock band here in the Los Angeles and Orange County area (in California). This is the rock & roll band I have been waiting for. Their loud, fast, lewd and sometimes crud. Bullets And Octane is simply put the best band to come along in maybe the last 10 years. Ty Smiths drumming is charged with punk angst and pissed off emotion.. Brent Clawson bass lines are greatly executed when audible.. James Daniels guitar playing is fantastic, destined to become one of the legends of this generation.. But the band is powered by the powerful vocals of Gene Louis.. His raw-gritty groans add a great texture to the albums feel... If you haven't heard of Bullets N Octane , you're missing out.They are SUCH a good band. Their tracks on the black-cased cd, such as "Pirates " and "Save Me Sorrow ", are two of my fav.【Bullets and Octane】In the Mouth of the Young Bullets so rock my world !! haha... This band knows how to capture the true meaning of Rock N Roll.Like many other bands, their stage presence cant be captured on one cd but again this cd does just fine. It is packed full of gr8 tunes that will get anyone in the mood to rock n roll all day and party every night. This is one of the BEST albums of the year.If you're looking for long epic tracks， you won't find them here. But if you like to-the-point，in your face，gr8 rock n'roll , then Bullets and Octane have a gr8 style that mixes a heaviness，gr8 riffs，and fantastic melodies. They have a gr8 ability to write fantastic riffs and choruses that really grab a listener. Oh，and the cover is one of the most striking covers I've seen on ANY record in quite a long time，in that it looks cool，that it makes a statement (the picture AND the title )，and could have crossed the line into offensiveness but doesn't. It will capture people's attention and people will talk about it; I hope the same happens with the music of Bullets ＆ Octane...great and cool band name too...This album is killer!!!! The Divine Miss M: Who is Kylie Minogue? Not a Moment is Wasted...Kylie Minogue has been a part of the dance scene since the late 80's when she hit it big with "The Loco-Motion." For the past decade, she continued to put out her infectious brand of dance hits and became a major success in her native Australia and Europe. Here in America, I took little notice - that is, until the annoyingly catchy dance track "Can't Get You Out of My Head " was played in heavy rotation on Top 40 radio. The first single off her latest album "Fever " became one of the summer's biggest hits, having to do with an extremely simple chorus you couldn't escape from if you tried. (Surely, you've heard it? ; ) I'm not a fan of pop music but I don't hate it, although very few pop artists are to my liking. My tastes don't lean towards the likes of Britney or 'N Sync, who take themselves so seriously one may actually start to believe they suffer for their "art." Kylie Minogue makes the sort of music that's shamelessly cheesy, lyrically simple and emotionally challenged without pretending to be anything deeper. In my opinion, that's what pop music should be - unpretentious and fun to listen to."Fever " is very much that, characterized by upbeat grooves, syrupy vocals, simple arrangements and slick production. Most of the songs are perfect for the dance floor or you can just shimmy in front of the mirror if you want to because they carry such a positive vibe. "Fever " is not as high energy as something from club divas like Amber or Ultra Nate, instead choosing gently pulsing rhythms over recycled dancehall beats. The album also has a mature feel to it, and I think it's partly because the lyrics are not overtly sexual, which is a kind contrast to the hormone-laden lyrics of today's horny teenybopper anthems. I'd say the influence here is mostly Euro-pop with a disco flavor and a hint of Kraftwerk. 　　　Fever　　【Kylie Minogue】　　 Kylie Minogue Gets Naked & Turns Up The Heat On Fever One of the most obvious and oft-repeated criticisms of "Fever" (and of Minogue in general ) is that she is part of the genre of sugar pop: lacking a real singing voice, and appealing to very superficial tastes. The question of her 'singing' voice is easily addressed, and it surprises me that it is levelled by people some consider serious critics of music. The voice is an instrument, just like the flute, the piano or the cello. Any classically-trained musician will tell you that it takes a much different quality of sound to correctly play the intricate patterns in a Bach Suite than it does to play the sweeping melodies of a Tchaikovsky suite. The quality of sound of one may be wispy in comparison to the other, but it is effective nonetheless in its own way. I had never considered myself an avid listener of dance music, but that changed with Fever.!! Unlike most commercial dance artists, Minogue does not rely on over-present, thumping bass to make the song "dance-able ". This is achieved through subtle, melodic passages, reasonable percussion, and catchy lyrics. The 'sugar pop' criticism makes even less sense if it is being applied beyond Minogue's voice. The musical aesthetic is nowhere near such authentic 'sugar pop' as the Spice Girls and early Britney Spears. Kylie Minogue, although prominent in North America only recently, has been in the music industry long enough. This is a mature album with relevant lyrics, catchy beats and tunes. Indeed, although I appreciate the album more as aesthetic than as a collection of individual songs, each track has a hook and easily succeed as a single. Some of my favourites in this way are "Can't Get You Out of My Head ", "In Your Eyes" and "Dance Floor". I really have no reservations about recommending this album. It is dance music for those with taste. It is widely played because of its quality, not in spite of it as is the case with much of the genre's chart toppers (hello Britney!) "Fever " is a sparkling infusion of sub-genres of dance music. There are no ballads here, no songs written by Max Martin, and not a trace of hip-hop influence, so to shove it aside with today's mainstream pop wouldn't do it justice. The sound is pretty unique and Kylie is a veteran, so you won't be disappointed. The album, overall, was very enjoyable but many of its songs will not outshine the hits that spawned from it. 【Track Listings】01. More More More02. Love At First Sight03. ** Relive the Wonder of Moulin Rouge **

... Frank Is Living In My Foot ... Lush orchestrations of pop musicI collect soundtracks like some people collect coins. I movies and I music, so combine those two passions and you get movie soundtracks. There's nothing better than to see a fantastic movie on screen and then be able to take the music home with you. Whenever you play the album it reminds you of the movie and for a few minutes, you are whisked away again into another world. Okay, maybe I need to get out more. But, I know my stuff and this album is completely terrific. One of my biggest pet peeves is when you see a gr8 movie and you know before the movie ends that you will the soundtrack. Then, you go out and buy the first one you see only to find out later that half the songs you luvd in the movie aren't even on the album. I've learned to wait for a second soundtrack album release to get the song collection I really want. "The Matrix" is a recent film that has done this. I suspect it is a way for movie companies to make even more money off of us audience members. We buy the first album, find out it's not what we wanted, and then when the second album comes out with all the songs from the movie, then we buy it too. But, I digress. My point is, that "Moulin Rouge" has removed some of the cynic from me, because my favorite songs from the movie ARE the ones included on this first soundtrack release.Ewan has an awesome voice, along with Nicole Kidman.Moulin Rouge [Original Soundtrack] Good mix, Rocking music, diverse Artists ＆ THE CAN-CAN.. Anyone who luved the movie needs to get this soundtrack. If you haven't seen the movie, you need to borrow a friend's CD or find some way to listen to samples of some of the songs, mainly the ones that Ewan and Nicole sing. Then you too will be blown away by their beautiful singing. Musicals are not for everyone. In fact, many people turn their backs on musicals. I am not one of those people. From oldies like My Fair Lady, The King and I and Calamity Jane to the newer ones, such as Evita, Little Shop of Horrors and most certainly Moulin Rouge. I find myself enthralled as people act out real life on the screen while spontaneously bursting into song. Don’t you do that? Don’t you sing your way through the day? Well, okay, maybe I’m the only one living life as a musical.. Each song is a quality production. The best, in my opinion, is "Because We Can " , by Fatboy Slim. It's a drum-heavy, quirky piece. Almost instrumental, except for a few lyrics thrown in here and there. Another favorite of mine is "Nature Boy " performed by David Bowie. There are two versions of this song on the soundtrack, both equally good. The stars of the movie, Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, both hold their own on the CD. Nicole's voice is a little weak on a few of the songs. Mcgregor does an excellent job on a cover of Elton John's Your Song. Of course, there is also the "Elephant Love Medley " , a duet performed by Kidman and McGregor , that mixes various songs together into one delightful medley. From KISS to the Beatles, it's a fun mix of old favorites. I rank this right up with some of my favorite soundtracks, such as Grease and Detroit Rock City. Leave it to an X-Files fan... Honest & Insightful with a dash of Bitterness for flavor...To create a wonderful work like this. I many others... Im sure, wanted this CD for none other reason than it's 11 track, "David Duchovny " which tells of the Artists infatuation with the X-Files actor.I also must admit that I didn't even buy it for myself. A Mistress... all the way from Paris offered to get it for me. XX said that xx luvd the CD so much, xx couldn't stand knowing I didn't have it. I, being the idiot in disguise I usually am ... didn't even listen to the other tracks until I was asked, by my mistress, which were my favorite.And when I finally did hit the play button with the intention of actually listening to the many songs, I was sure boredom would take over quickly. Simply put: This CD is wonderful. I don't want to wow anyone with big words to buy this cd. I just want everyone to know what a talented singer & especially sonwriter Bree Sharp is.Im amazed at how clever, searing, funny, sad, and just plain beautiful her lyrics are. I think this album is different then C&EG but just as good.My personal favorite is Last of me.Im a very stingy person when I need to be (to a point... I will admit this. ) and can find the flaws in almost anything.... but I could not find ONE thing to complain about when taking everything into account. It is well priced... especially for the quality of the music, perfect for almost ANYONE... and makes a gr8 gift... I would know.!!!!No matter what your music style may be, I have no doubt you will have any problem finding many songs on this CD you could listen to forever.I urge anyone with the means to run out and this CD now. If you haven't heard the name Bree Sharp yet... Don't worry, I'm sure you will. This girl has talent, and can use it very well.【Bree Sharp】More B.S. A Hopefully soon-to-be-discovered Gem Bree Sharp was one of those cds you buy without really knowing what you are getting Bree's voice is one of the best I have heard, and her songs are gr8. Bree is a plus because she can write lyrics as well as arrange music for her own songs, which some people are incapable of doing even though they are still gr8.I'm a Die Hard X phile so when I heard there was this song that went on and on about David Duchovny I jumped at the chance to own it. I was prepared to hate the rest of the CD but was surprised when I didn't. This isn't my favorite CD by a long shot.!!The David Duchovny song is historical. "David Duchovny why don't you love me ? " If you ever have a chance to see the DVD I'd grab it. Its even betters then the song. America is all about our obsession with TV and how we've given up experiencing things for watching them on TV. That would actually fit Bree Sharp's publicity, if "David Duchovny " hadn't become a kind of underground cult hit. In X-phile circles, it's become an anthem.Her obsession is their own. J Smitten should sound a cord with any one who's ever loved someone that they knew they couldn't have. There isn't a song on this CD that I don't at least kind of like. This CD is must for any X Files fan, if only for the David Duchovny song... Bree Sharp is NO cookie-cutter bubblegum-pop-queen; she's an indie original with a quirky voice all her own. *** Joan is the best female Rocker out there...***

The Cutting Edge of Female Power Rock.. Jett still "SPEAKS."I bought "Fit to be Tied: Great Hits by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts" to hear her sing "Love is All Around ".Wanting to hear the song isn't the problem, but buying a whole CD rather than try to wade through a sea of unmarked mix discs surely is. By the Grey Beard of Zeus, I may have opened a whole can of problems as it seems wrong on many different levels. But I won't bore you with self psycho analysis on my music addiction. We're here to discuss an artist who knocked down a few barriers, blazed new trails others are still trying to follow.... and you can shake your tailfeathers to her music to if you so choose. Joan started out with the Runaways , an all girl band put together to probably exploit as Jailbait , but damn if they couldn't rock. Not really appreciated here until after they broke up, Joan, Lita Ford and company were huge in Japan .I'm guessing their egos and noteriety eclipsed album sales expectations, and the four girls parted company in favor of solo careers... So what makes Joan so appealling aurally ? In the liner notes, Joel Selvin of the San Francisco Chronicle writes".... She brings together the basic elements of rock'n'roll- anger, alienation and frustration- better than anyone else".. Joel nailed it, but I'd like to expand on that idea a bit..... That may be the fabric of her musical quilt, but it's all pieced and sewn together with unbridled joy and exuberance. 【Joan Jett & The Blackhearts】Fit To Be Tied: Great Hits Joan Jett: Are You Gonna' Be My Girl ??? Now, I have seen some gr8 LIVE performances.... but Joan really put everything into her music. I was surprised to see her hair dyed blonde , but you could still tell it was her from those infamous eyebrows.. This woman really deserves a huge amount of respect. She really paved alot of roads for female rock bands. Joan and Lita Ford brought an attitude back to rock music that had not been there since Janis Joplin.The album is the Gr8est hits.. You'll find all of those old songs that you used to listen to like; I Love Rock'n Roll, Do Wanna Touch Me, Roadrunner, Crimson and Clover, I Hate Myself for Loving You, Everyday People. Right there are 6 good reasons to buy this album. I don't know about you, but I find it difficult to get an album that has 6 good songs on it.The only area where I feel uncomfortable about Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are all the covers they do. They are probably the most famous cover band of all time. They even released an album of strictly covers. I think they can get away with this though, because they take the song and make it their own. Joan has a very distinctive voice, which really adds a dimension to the songs.I'm scared to think of what Joanie's been up to lately... ... whew, that haircut...and "WARNING: EXPLICIT LYRICS " on, ahem, "Fetish ? " Oh well, regardless.... I've been greedily awaiting a Joan Jett Greatest Hits sort of thing, and I'm just now aware that this's been available since '02. So guess what I'm gonna do with my next bit of "disposable income ." PRIMO stuff here folks : rock & roll for grownups. "Fake Friends " is better mental hygiene than an hour with a shrink; "Cherry Bomb " here is, believe it or not, even BETTER than the Runaways' version ; "I Love Rock And Roll " is easily as definitive a statement as my beloved Stones' "(I Know) It's Only Rock And Roll ." From the hard rock song "Bad Reputation " to the classic "I Love Rock and Roll ", it keeps you jamming. She sings remakes of "Do You Wanna Touch Me? (oh yeah!) " and "Everyday People " so smooth & true that you forget that someone else ever sang them. The band rocks so hard that you will feel like you are right there with them. But, hey, speaking OF the Stones, I guess you knew already that their best guitarist, Mick Taylor, plays on "I Hate Myself For Loving You ." Yeah, Joan's a champ.... I recommend this CD to any Joan Jett fan, or anyone who wants to be one. One track, and you will be hooked. Poison Pills of Trashy, Manufactured Pop A breathy, light hearted affair, with nice music, and gentle vocals... The first 'new' song released from the "Greatest Hits" album... A nice catchy... not too serious song... Nice humming music, a fresh piece of pop perfection..... Real Music By Real MusiciansThe song that brought Texas back into the charts. The music is the highlight of Texas'music... it's composition, it's nuances, combined with gr8 vocal talent come together to form a piece of extraordinary work.Although technically pop, the word "pop" (ala Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, N'Sync et al.) does not do justice to the music. Some nice harmonies & an all round nice song... well written and executed.Before you raise your eyebrows in disbelief, allow me to clarify... Yes, Im still the self-professed disco-hater. I realize that my high ratings of the Dick soundtrack and the header of this epinion may have led you to believe otherwise. This is merely a disco-flavored album, though, not actual disco. I was originally hooked by Texas after being introduced to their single "Say What You Want " by my lover[s] gr8dane, the king of mix tapes. This spunky but lovely tune combines graceful vocals with a good beat (an unusual combination) and can be found on Texas White On Blonde album I never thought much about the group after hearing this song, though, since they weren't much spoken of in mainstream U.S. circles.The amazing vocal talent of Ms. Spiteri , really shines through on this album, from the dance floor filling "Summer Son " to the high paced "When We Are Together " her voice was an absolute pleasure to listen to. Even the dark "Saint " offered a new aspect of her increasingly experienced voice...Yes one day, I'm sure that Celine & Mariah will sit at home wishing that one day they may sing like this. Texas effortlessly stylish +++ The Hush +++ 【Texas】 +++ Upbeat, but not Irritating／Fantastic Vocal Talent The album though, was set up for a fall, after the multi-million success of the previous album. And it was inevitable that the critics would pounce on this new release, like a pack of hungry dogs surrounding an agile antelope... Can be too varied in genre for comfort.. Scottish Sharleen Spiteri brings amazing talent to this album with her light, lilting vocals, preventing even the "darkest" of the songs on the album from sounding gloomy."Saint " is a perfect example of this phenomenon. Spiteri accomplishes a certain wistful air in this track, but never quite crosses into the realm of depressing or downtrodden.Being the song that originally attracted me to the album, "When We Are Together " maintains the top spot in my hierarchy of The Hush's tracks.Probably the most upbeat song on the ALBUM.... This song definitely owns the catchiest tune... A rare instrumental ensemble of violin, keyboard, electric guitar and percussional track contributes to the happy sound.... but Spiteri's gliding execution of the quick-paced lyrics is the most wonderfully engaging aspect of the song.All in all this is an emotional well put together album.... The band even saying that it is what they have been building up to throughout ......there 17 year career and it makes a change to see someone write, produce, and play their own songs.The brilliance of the end result simply refuses to fade away... 【Track Listings】01. A BIG step forward for A GR８ band ** GRIN ** GRIN** GRIN**Wow. What a Gr8 buy... it's one of the best CDs I've listened to in a long time. If you even remotely enjoyed "Audioboxer" pick this one up at all costs... They do everything they do so well in "Audioboxer " plus a whole lot more. The songs that make up the masterpiece "Leaving Through a Window " are too good for a label. Lets just say if you are a fan of the surf/emo/skate music genre you will find something that you like here. Get it at all costs.!!　Which in most cases will be a pretty cheap cost.I absolutely Something Corporate, affectionately referred to as SoCo by devoted fans.!!This album has the best mix of piano, emo, and pop - punk out there. The piano really brings the entire CD to life... In track seven "Cavanaugh Park " the piano actually is the only instrument playing until the chorus.Everything from the piano solos, drum beats, & the singing is extremely good.!! I listened to this album so much, I found myself singing (or wanting to sing) songs from the ALBUM throughout the entire day everyday. Catchy beats, heartfelt vocals, and great lyrics make up this release."The Astronaut " is particularly gr8 , as well as "Punk Rock Princess", "Drunk Girl ", and "Cavanaugh Park "...Once again, this album is unbelievable.!!I would recommend "Leaving Through the Window " to every person on the face of the Earth ...Everything is flawless.【Something Corporate】Leaving Through The Window They Make F*cking Up Look Coxxxxol..When I listened to the ALBUM for the first time I was so absorbed into the music. I didn't realize that the lead singer Andrew McMahon played the piano before. The piano is like one of the best instruments out there...The piano brings a uniqueness that is just so beautiful. Adding to the gr8 sound is the harmonies. Everyone in the band sings.Drummer, bassist, the two guitarists and the lead singer (duh). It adds more depth & a nicer sounding....sound. The lyrics to the songs sound so genuine & real.!! I can feel the emotions streaming out of my headphones. Every time I play the CD I discover something new to If you haven't noticed I'm running out of word to describe Something Corporate. The harmonies & instruments are a perfect mix that make me want to sing every time I hear them. They're lyrics make me feel something and since you don't know me let me tell you.I rarely feel so strongly about something for so long. You can Space Out or Sing !! +++ Cut "Loose" From A Fresh Cloth +++

Amazingｘ２ Girl !! Incredibly Refreshing !! Groove on Nelly Furtado has surpassed all other new female talents from the start of this decade, IMO, to become a true serious force to be reckoned with. The variety of stylings of the songs adds both to the mix of the disc itself and says a lot about Nelly's depth of interest in music. It will be interesting to see how her sound evolves over time.Her voice is unusually pleasurable & her songs are bright, fun, and beautiful.How can someone NOT like a sweet voice like hers , plus she's a strong songwriter, and the production is phenomenal.I'm just upset that I never got to see her perform Live before she hits the bigs. Better than Britney, cooler than Christina...【NELLY FURTADO】Loose【Collaboration】Nelly's unique style mixed with the POP music creates a Gr8 Album The album opens with "Afraid ", a wonderful song that details the troubles that we go through in life.... And how it's only natural to worry about what other people think of us. What I LUV about this song is the honestly. Most of those girl-power anthems tell us to take no BS from people and just to put ourselves out there......But that is HARD to do. Here, Nelly says it's okay to be afraid because we're only human. The music is quite melancholy, but ultimately uplifting, and the choir at the end is a great outro. Nelly Furtado's collaboration with Timbaland and Danja has really paid off...Her third studio album has something for anybody who's into Pop, Latin, Dance, R&B and Hip Hop......with three hot singles right off the bat in "Promiscuous", "Maneater" and "No Hay Igual". Nelly then ends the album with the types of songs that peppered "Folklore" though none hit the emotional high that "Try " did. "In God's Hand " lays it on pretty thick. But she does much better with "All Good Things (Come to an End) " co-written with the dude from Coldplay but this one was left on the album. "Wait for You " sounds like something from the Whoa Nelly! era. "Loose" is a decent mix of old and new, but hopefully on her next album......Nelly lays off the disposable pop that liters the front half of the album. 【Track Listings】01. Afraid 02. Maneater 03. Welcome back TIFF Step aside Britney; let Tiffany show you how it's done..After lots of searching & research I finally was able to get a hold of Tiffany’s fourth studio album that was released in 2000 entitled "Color of Silence ". I wasnt sure what to expect but what I found was an amazing pop/rock album that reminds you of all the current artists and a few older ones as well. All these influences and a long history of being in the pop scene and then most definitely out of it come to a head here.!! Alanis Morrissette is definitely who you might be able to draw a comparison with but without the crazy psychoanalytic rambling and caterwauling. “Piss U Off ” is probably one of the songs that stylistically is like Alanis Morrisette. It’s a little more fun and not nearly as searing but musically it could be the fraternal sister of “Right Through You ”..It's definitely tongue in cheek. It has these accordions and a slight Irish feel to it. “If Only ” is a gorgeous, haunting ballad and it brings out pretty much every quality of her voice more than anything else she’s done. Arranged simply with an expressive piano, melancholy strings and elegant guitar the pain she feels is clearly expressed as she begins “Scarlet red drips from my veins, what’s wrong with me that I imagine such things and if only, for a moment, let there be peace….”...All though it might sound kind of sensationalistic she puts it out there in such a straightforward manner you feel it’s very sincere. Im just stunned by this song and could listen to it over and over because it’s so amazing. “I’m Not Sleeping ” is another gr8 pop/rock track where she teams up in an odd but satisfying partnership with Krayzie Bone. The song appropriately gravitates from a more pop feel to a harder chorus. Since this album came out in 2000 before Michelle Branch or Avril Lavigne, you'll be surprised to know the song could definitely fit in on a Branch album but it’s a little more experimental. Krayzie Bone kind of does this Jamaica thing with booming drums setting up a mean beat in the background on the bridge. This was the single that was released and why it didn’t catch on is beyond me. 【Tiffany】The Color Of Silence I'm Not Sleeping on Tiffany's Last Album any longer... The leadoff single from the album is "I'm Not Sleeping ", a duet with rapper Krayzie Bone.Many fans think a better choice would be "Open My Eyes ", which in fact was originally announced as the first single before this was changed at the last minute.The latter is a catchier song, though there are a few fans who think that might be a liability given that Tiffany needs to show her evolution away from simple, catchy pop. Others say that Tiffany has no need to prove anything to anybody; she should make the artistic statement she wants to make, without worrying about all the second-guessers who might say that this is "too poppy"...... and that is "not poppy enough", or the other thing is "not what plays on radio these days", or whatever...She's not making a desperate play to get noticed again, but rather she's doing what she likes to do.... and under her own terms this time, and that's what she'll do whether anyone else likes it or not.So far, many of the critics do like it, but whether she'll get on the pop charts again is still not known. The album is due to get a boost next month when BMG takes over as its distributor; this should get it some promotion it hasn't yet received. "Color of Silence " definitely is an album that deserved a lot more attention than it ever received. Song after song is a hybrid of interesting sounds, textures and style and Tiffany really found a place for that voice of hers. She manages to prove that she is talented despite the horrendous songs George Tobin and later Maurice Starr subjected her too. Crisp , Clear ＆ Witty POP First track from Shxxoot From The Hip ALBUM★★★★★I first heard of Sophie while watching TV in Paris on vacation few years ago. This one is effortlessly lovely.I cannot praise it enough, and I think that UK comes out with some Gr8 dance and pop. It was such a CUTE, ultra-COOL disco tune, with catchy music...... and Bextor herself had this porcelain skin, glowing pink cheeks & a fabulous green eye shadow. She was so fresh and so different that I fell for her charm instantly..Her lyrics are witty and wry and seem very subtly supportive of a feminist stance, interestingly & rarely she also sings with a clear, crisp..Her image is more than a little British 50's glamour puss too..All the songs are EXCELLENT, only a couple I skip over while walking, but I listen to when I'm at home...Sophie's voice is Gr8, the music is fun, Happy Euro-pop, this is my favorite album..【Sophie Ellis-Bextor】Read My Lips Ms Ellis Bextor has given Pop a New Lease of LifeLike most Sophie songs, it tells a story...and here we are told of a woman reassuring herself [and the listener] that it's OK...... If you're a tad confused in todays world, because you're tough enough to handle it..All the 10 tracks here are co-written by Sophie and Track 9 is a Moby collaboration "Is It ANy Wonder " where you'll hear some trademark Moby sounds. Yes, it's hard for anyone to be able to work with MoBy and this shows how much Sophie is a star in the making.The Groove Collision Mix found on this single is a thumping club smash that transforms the song for the party people.Sophie vocals have such attitude and really work well with these lyrics, while the beat behind the track really gets you going. Raw Hardcore ActionLimp Bizkit's ALBUM is a great blend of metal and funky grooves... The band, Fred Durst (vocalist), Wes Borland (guitars), Sam Rivers (bassist) and John Otto (drums) hail from Jacksonville, Florida.Their songs are heavy & their lyrics are deep with a little hip-hop..!!!!!It ended up being one of the best rap CD's I hve ever heard. While in general I hate rap I found this ALBUM keeps your attention with some great bass and guitar solos, something missing from most gangsta rap..I don't really appreciate rap, but this band is Really Good !!Maybe a little too much on the explicit lyrics, but otherwise, this ALBUM KICKS !! IF YOURE A KORN-SOULFLY-COAL CHAMBER--DEFTONES FAN LIKE ME...... YOU'LL NEVER LET GO OF THIS ALBUM !!Limp Bizkit■Three Dollar Bill, Y'All■Yeah..Limp Crazy Here Limp Bizkit was looking for their own sound but always following the same style, the mixture between rap & nu metal.. KILLER SOUND★APOCALYPSE★ Everything about Lacuna Coil ROCKS But the BEST part is the female singer-Christina Scabbia-she has an AMAZING voice and is EXTREMELY HOTTTT !! Christina works magic, you will be entranced !!Lacuna Coil has been described as Italian goth metal, or gothic rock. In my HUMBLE opinion, they really are their own GENRE.They have the Crunching guitars characteristic of metal music, yet the vocals don't get buried under the guitars & drums. The arrangements on this album are amazing.Furthermore, their lyrics actually convey several great messages rather than consist of mere useless drivel & angst. "Unleashed Memories " is honestly my favorite album ever.!!【Lacuna Coil】Unleashed MemoriesAside from being the BEST female-fronted Band ever, "Unleashed Memories " in particular has it all. The two vocalist, Christina Scabbia (female vocals) & Andrea Ferro (male vocals), work together well on this CD Lacuna Coil, which hails from Milan Italy, is in a class by itself...They would most likely appeal to fans of Evanescence, Garbage or even Poe. Also, with lyrics about personal longing, schizophrenia, and paranoia, "Unleashed Memories " is lyrically a breakthrough for Lacuna Coil and gothic metal in general. All are incredible tracks, and none make you want to hit the "SKIP" button. The background music[sound] is very good too !! The Spirit of ROCK To think that this CD basically landed on my lap as an accidental gift the details of which I'll spare you all...A glove thrown to the stars Otherwise, I'd never have had the opportunity to listen to BS&T This CD numbers are some really COOL stuff in it...In most of the songs the singer have a cool jazzy-smoky voice that gives a jazz spirit to the song...In others, mainly the romantic ballads, the singer (A different person) have a sweet voice that makes you listen to the songs again and again. Powerful, Relaxing and Fulfilling !!In my opinion...The selection here is all you need to enjoy BS&T, it is a great collection.【Blood Sweat & Tears】Mirror Image Some of the coolest stuff around This group takes a stab at some R&B with "Tell Me That I'm Wrong "......and some out and out pop on the Jerry La Croix pieces with mixed success. Fisher is his usual powerful self and saves "Tell Me That I'm Wrong ".It's his conviction & power that really makes the song work.!! The arrangment is more "New Blood " than "Blood，Sweat & Tears ". Jerry La Croix has a multi octave range but frankly is not in Fisher's class. This has widely been embraced at her shows. Which is why I'm shocked that fans would be so unappreciative of this masterpiece. There You'll Be 【The Best of Faith Hill】

Faith Hill is not only stunning, but has a stunning voice. She is BEST whilst singing power ballads and there are a few in here for sure. I luv the title track "There You'll Be" and also "Breath" and "You Give Me Love". That song is UPBEAT and so good. This compilations is a GREAT set of hits from Faith Hill (so far in her young career). The only song that should have been included on it is "CRY "......and then it really would have been ＣＯＭＰＬＥＴＥ. 『There You'll Be』The Best of Faith HillThe "There You'll Be" CD features Faith's best recent songs.The "Breathe" (Tin Tin Out Radio Mix) is absolutely beautiful and is better than the original version.Another great song on here is "There Will Come a Day ". It's an amazing ballad that has very heartwarming lyrics and it shows off Faith's wonderful voice.Obviously, the "There You'll Be" song from the Pearl Harbor soundtrack is on here and I was very happy of that. 　　 Superb first effort from Cherie There is no denying that Cherie has an incredible voice. She sounds like a younger version of Celine Dion.While not as powerful, her voice is just as stunning and in a few years she'll be able to give Celine a run for her money. The album starts of strong with the undeniably catchy first single "I'm Ready"Then followed by 3 gorgeous ballads where Cherie really shines. Say You Love Me,Older Than My Years, and It's Your Love are sung beautifullyAnd Cherie gets to showcase her voice by belting out high notes, just as Celine would do.The album starts to drag towards the end with the songs Fool, Rush,and The Promise , but her voice always remains center stage...and she can make even the most boring song sound beautiful. The final song on the album is My Way Back Home , and it is stunning!!Cherie has got what it takes to have a long career. Brie Larson 【Teen actress】

This is a MUST buy for Lindsay Lohan or Hilary Duff fansBRIE U ROCKI own a few-if not a lot of cds.. and this is definitely one of my favorites out of my "collection" of cds. This cd really does showcase how talented Brie is. She's a songwriter, she sings, she acts, plays guitar.. what can this girl NOT do？ Brie Larson『Finally Out Of P.E.』There are some songs on this album that aren't really my "style" but overall great album.Shoebox, Ugly, Hope Has Wings, and Go Goodbye are my favorites. I like all the songs of course, but those would be my favs. The song Ugly, is very deep speaks to me. I really like the cover, pictures, and art on the cd. Love Monkey Business 【voice of a devil】

Wow all the songs are so fab!!I've had the CD for around 6 months and I still haven't got bored of it!!Practically all the songs are great. My favourite are Union, Gone Going, Dum Diddly, Dont Lie..well actually all the songs make you wanna dance! I recommend this CD as it is absolutely GREAT Black Eyed Peas 『Monkey Business』This CD is just plain awesome I heard the actual Elephunk CD a couple years ago when it came out and I hated it. I thought the songs they put on the radio were way better. But this winter I bought Monkey Business, and I'm still listening to it in my room. It's pumping and they deserve those Grammies. Aly & AJ are very young, talented singers.Into The Rush is awsome album,lyrics are very good,specialy 1st song. I luv this CD,every fan of pop/rock should realy like it.And I hope this is not the last album by girls.Aly ＆ Amanda have rockin' voices, and are just so good at what they do. I mean come on, they are only 16 & 14!! They write all their songs, and can even play guitar. Aly & AJ 『Into the Rush』！！Two amazing girls=one amazing album！！I had high expectations for this album, and wasn't disappointed. Every track is amazing. Aly & AJ are very talented and have gorgeous voices. If you listen, you can hear the subtle differences between their voices, and hear them "switch", especially in "Sticks and Stones" and "Walking on Sunshine". Their image in this CD is great, as opposed to all the "bad girls" so popular now. "Into the Rush", and not to mention, all the songs on it are very cool and I love how each song sounds with its very wonderful rock out beat!! The main song that I like on this album is, "Collapsed", because the sound of it is very upbeat and totally amazing! I'm glad that Aly & A.J. released their wonderful debut album filled with fun and upbeat songs, and including a ballad called, "In a Second". I really luv that one!
