一日に何度も繰り返す　そのことば
もしかしたら「こんにちは」よりも　多いくらい
そのひとの疲れに「お」をつけて　「さま」までつけて
「おつかれさまです」と声かける　ぼくらの日々

We repeat this word in a day
We may repeat it more than "Hello"
Paying careful for our friends' fatigue
We say "Otsukaresama-desu" for them everyday

やさしくて強くて　一生懸命で
生きることはただそれだけでも　大変で
その愛も仕事も大切で　頭をさげて
「おつかれさまです」といいかわす　ぼくらの国

Life is sweet, but tough and hard
Life is full of hard things
Love is important, work is also important
We say "Otsukaresama-desu" each other in this country

つらいのはわかってる　だけどわからないよ
誰だってそれぞれ　隠した切なさは
ほんとうはいえなくて　だから　いうのだろう
ありがとう　大丈夫です　おつかれさまです

I know their pain
But I don't know their hidden heartache
Instead of true feelings, we say
Thank you, it's all right, Otsukaresama-desu!

泣きたくなることもあたりまえ　坂道は
もうなんども経験したから　慣れてきた
そのひとの涙は拾えない　見ちゃいけない
「おつかれさまです」と微笑んで　ぼくらの旅

All kinds of things make us want to cry
But we get a little hardened to face them
We can't see their tears and must not see them
We go on a trip with smile saying "Otsukaresama-desu"

こころは強くない　だけど弱くもない
いつだって忘れない　あのころ見た夢は
ほんとうはいいたくて　だから　いうのだろう
ありがとう　信じてくれて　どうもありがとう

Our heart are not tough but not weak
We'll never forget our dream
Instead of true feelings, we say
Thank you, Thank you for trusting me

悪いことばかりじゃないことも　人生で
物語はまだまだつづくよ　さあいこう
その夢も不安も闘いも　これからだから
「おつかれさまです」といってみる　このぼくに

Life is not always bad
Our story'll continue in future
We'll get our dream and face our fear from now
I say to me, Otukaresama-desu!
