It is the last day of JFW in Tokyo today. I went and see textile exhibition "Creation Business Forum(CBF)".

CBF had two parts. One part was for wool, cotton, linen and silk textiles, synthetic fiber fabrics from on the 31th of October to 2nd of November. The other part was for knitted fabrics, lace, pile textile, dyed and prosessed fabrics from on the 7th to 9th of this month.

I had only 30 minutes to see part 1, but today I had more than 1 hour, so could talk some companys' presidents about their creations and CBF.

My first impression was, "what a colorful exhibition it was!". Almost all the exhibitions, dyeing companys haven't joined because they haven't made clothings and textiles. But CBF's concept is a business matchng between a factory to a designer, or between a factory to another sort of factory.

There were many handprinted textiles, inkjetprinted textiles, stonewashed knit, etc.,. You will be able to make many beautiful flower printed fabrics or ethnic patterns' fabrics with these companys for nest spring and summer seasons

And some company let fabrics dyed as a Premiere Vision's trend color.(Premiere Vision isthe biggest and most influenced textile exhibitions in the world.)

Many towel, towelling, and knitted fabrics were made by casimire, angora, very thin and long cottons. You would know Japanese textiles were very high quality in CBF.

A president told me that he was very happy to join CBF because he met many apparel makers for the first time. Mr. Masao Matsuda, the former COO of Osaka textile resource center commented, "It was only the first step today. We consider about Premiere Vision. It took 27 years old. It'll be a long long way after today."



今日はJFWイン東京の最終日である。私は素材展「クリエーション・ビジネス・フォーラム」（CBF）を見にいってきた。

CBFは２つのパートから成っていた。１つは、ウール、綿、麻、シルクと合繊織物のパートで、１０月３１日から１１月２日までの開催。もう１つは、ニット生地、レース、パイル織物と染色整理に関するパートで、今月の７日から９日までの開催である。

私はパート１の方はたった３０分しか見ることができなかったが、今日は１時間以上時間があったので、何人かの社長さんから自社のクリエーションやCBFについてのお考えを伺うことができた。

私の第一印象は、何てカラフルな展示会なんだろう、ということ。ほとんど大半の展示会には染色メーカーの方は出展されないのだが（というのは、洋服や生地を生産しているのではないから）、（今回出展を促したのは）CBFのコンセプトは、工場とデザイナー、工場と別の業種の工場のマッチングという点にあるからなのだ。

沢山のハンドプリントの生地や、インクジェットプリンターで染められた生地、ストーンウォッシュのニット、等々。貴方はこれらの工場さんと組んで、来春夏向けに、沢山の美しい花のプリントやエスニック柄の生地を生産することが可能だろう。

そして、ある会社は、プルミエール・ヴィジョンのトレンドカラーに沿って生地を染めていた（プルミエール・ヴィジョンは世界最大で最も影響力の有るテキスタイルの展示会である）。

多くのタオル、タオル生地、ニット生地は、カシミア、アンゴラ、超長綿で出来ていた。貴方はCBFで、日本のテキスタイルが非常に高品質だということを知ることができたはずだ。

ある社長さんは、「自分はCBFに参加できて幸せだ。何故なら、数多くのアパレルメーカーの方々に初めてお会いできたからだ」と語ってくれた。また、大阪繊維リソースセンターの前常務、松田正夫氏は、「道はまだ始まったばかりなんだよ。プルミエールヴィジョンのことを考えてごらん。２７年かかってあそこまで行ったんだ。今日からが長い道のりなんだよ」と話していた。
