2008年、
大学生だった次女と一緒にイタリア旅行に行きました。 美術館巡りをゆっくり楽しみたかったので、 ミラノ、ベネチア、フィレンツェ、ローマを巡るツアーの中で、 できるだけ自由時間の多いものを選びました。 初めての周遊旅行でしたが、 ピンポイントで効率的に移動できるだけでなく、 長いバスでの移動時間は、休憩タイム（ベンツのバスで快適！）となり、 次の目的地に着いた時には、すっかり元気になっている というメリットがあると知りました。 添乗員さんが、気遣いが素晴らしいベテランの方だったことも、 とてもラッキーでした。 ベネチアでは、ドゥカーレ宮殿で美術鑑賞。 音声ガイドを借りて、 娘と2人、 人影もまばらな宮殿を隈なく探検できた（！）ような気がして、 わくわくドキドキ、 とても楽しかったことを覚えています。 I have been to Italy with my youngest daughter for the past seven days. We have visited Milano, Verona, Venezia, Firenze, Orvieto, Roma and Vatican. Our main purpose had been to appreciate the masterpieces in the Galleria degli Uffizi, the Basilica di San Pietro and the Musei Vaticani. However, everything we saw in each place was amazing! The number of the masterpieces in the Galleria Palatina and the Musei Vaticani was beyond our imagination! We felt as if we had been butterflies flitting from flower to flower. What was more, we were extremely happy to stay in front of our favorite masterpieces as long as we wanted. As for my daughter, she was more than pleased to appreciate the masterpieces in the Musei Vaticani, she paid no attention to anything else. All she wanted to do was take a rest at our hotel. On the other hand, I would like to stroll in Roma so far as time permits. So, we went separate ways. Even in Italy, I was able to enjoy talking with various people such as the gondolie of the gondola we chartered, a street artist in Piazza Navona and so on in English. Thanks to English, I enjoyed the travel to the fullest!
