Centre Pompidou
Today's our destination was the Centre Pompidou. I wore the dress my husband chose for me yesterday；I felt like a parisienne! First of all, my husband and I went up to the top floor by the glass-walled escalator. As we went up higher, our range of view stretched out little by little. How thrilled!! Then, we headed to the Musée National d'Art Moderne which is the largest museum for modern art in Europe on the forth and fifth floor. I have never appreciated such numerous Pablo Picasso's masterpieces and Cubism paintings. I am really happy that the exposure made me get interested in them. After that, we headed to the restaurant on the top floor. At the entrance, an elegant lady welcomed us while saying to me, "I like your smile." I must have had a big smile on my face. I would never forget the fantastic French lunch with an enchanting view. After lunch, we went to the Gustave-Moreau Museum again to buy his art collection book. All his masterpieces, especially his cobalt blue and emerald green are beautiful enough even after being printed. 当時の英文日記の再掲です。 ホテル近くの小さな薬局の若い店員さんのおすすめ、 ポンピドゥーセンター。 それまでその存在すら知らなかったのですが、 ピカソ、カンディンスキー、マティス、シャガール、ミロ、ダリなどの 数々の作品に出会うことができました。 近現代美術のコレクションとしては欧州最大、 ニューヨーク近代美術館に次いで世界第２の規模だそうです。 ピカソの素晴らしさに開眼できたのが、 １番の収穫でした。 外観、
