Studying on Campus
Yeah...I'm (trying!) studying on campus now...but, i cannot concentrate on my study for clinical psychology class. i have a mid-term exam in a week. Anyway, i cannot type Japanese, so, sorry about my numerous grammer/spelling mistakes...i know there will be a lot. This morning, i went to the soup kitchen where im volunteering for and I peeled tons of apples and served food people...it was raining this morning, so, i thought it's gonne be less people were coming. But, actually, there were more people came, at least more people than last Saturday. What im studyig now is..like..the begging of the textbook, which I always find it's boring, all about the history of psychology and the problems of diagnostic things....I know they are important, Yeah, i know..so, I have to study because they gonna be on exam...i don't wanna have bad mark. I have to study about Freud, again! i feel like paranoid my Freud's psychoanalysis....well, good thing is that i already studied for my counseling class. so, it would be easier to study again. But, there are interesting chapters too. In the class, we covered some mentak disorders, like, Anxiety disorders. There are 5 types of anxiety disorders; General anxiety disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, Acute/Post Traumatic Stress disorder,Panic disorder, and Phobia. Each disorder has some criterias and major symptoms in DSM-IV-TR(Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorder fourth edition Text-Revised) When a psychologist diagnoses a client, some of the client's physical and psychological symptoms should be met some criterias in DSM-IV. DSM is like..textbook or guidelibe for psychologist to do diagnose a client. But, there are some problems in there...some definitions of the disorders are still ambiguous and controversial, so, that's why APA has kept revising.have to memorize almost all symptoms, criteria, age of onset..kinda thing... they are interesting!!! tough to memorize tho! ganbaro-tto. (Plese don't care about my english problems! haha)
