Smokingpipes.comからのニュースレターによると、ちいとばかしシリア・ラタキアの在庫を発見したので、Raven's Wingをちょっとだけ作って見ましたとの由。多分、注文殺到の予想なので、お好きな人はお早目に。追記：やはり瞬殺だったようですSmokinpipes.comサイトからの転載です。Perhaps the most remarkable news this week is that Raven's Wing is making a brief comeback after being unavailable for over a year, in a very small-run tinning.But, all the Syrian Latakia is gone, you say, how is this possible? When we moved to our current premises almost a year ago, we had a bunch of 'long term storage' boxes that just moved into storage space on the third floor here (the third floor is something of a jumble of things, from storage, to pipe restoration to overflow office space). 'Long term storage' is an affectionate term for stuff we don't know what to do with, but think we might, just possibly, need at some point in the future-- various cables, computer bits (boxes and boxes of them), old phones, software manuals-- the kind of detritus that every business, and every household, accumulates. Well, being in the business we're in, there's a lot of tobacco up there-- boxes and boxes of tins and pounds and pounds of bulk tobacco. There are various reasons that it accumulates-- slightly dented tins, remainder from discontinued lines plus the standard detritus that accumulates. Among the bulks, though, we found a little bit of Syrian Latakia that we had had for a couple of years. This was intended for some abandoned project, of which I don't fully remember the details. Still, we had this leftover Syrian Latakia that we didn't discover until just recently (there were a bunch of other blends and blending components too, but none of it terribly exciting-- it's all still up there).
